Hi, book buddies :-) This week is full of steam! Penny Wylder is contributing to the cause with her wonderfully emotional duet, FOR HER and FOR US. Today I bring you the conclusion of this beautiful romance.

MY OPINION

A beautiful romance. Feelings and hotness in perfect balance. I think Peter and Amber are my favourite couple from this author. They are unique, tender, passionate and incredibly real. I fell in love with them all over again in this final part of the duet.

Peter is such a good man, patient and understanding, and an inventive lover ;-) My heart went out to him as more of his past wounds come to the surface. The alternating chapters between past and present keep getting better and better, showing more glimpses of their years apart and their struggle to become the professional actor and director they are today. The world of filming a TV series and the consquences of fame were a great background too.

This couple takes their second chance very seriously, and the emotions are electrifying. They talk to each other, they understand what drives them and what they need. It's so sweet. The pancake scene is the best, not only for is sensuality but for the deep intimacy of the connection between the characters.

Peter is a hero again because of all the ways he helps, encourages and supports Amber. Up until the last moment he proves his love to her in the most meaningful ways. I loved, loved  this romance and the true relationship it shows.

My legs practically collapse underneath me and I put my head down between my knees. It helps a little. Whatever methods I had of calming my anxiety before Peter came back into my life seem to be gone completely. I can’t remember them and I can’t get a grip.

I try a pep talk: Okay, Amber, you can do this. You need to take a shower. You need to sit down at your table and do your work, no matter what happens tomorrow. You’re a professional and you need to do your job. You’ve worked hard for this, and even if this is your fault, you can’t control everything. Peter is going to show up tomorrow, or he isn’t. You can’t change it.

I head into my bedroom and pull off the clothes I’ve been wearing since he left. I never thought I was the kind of woman that would fall apart this much after sleeping with a guy.

For Her is so emotional and good

Hi, book buddies ☺ I'm so glad that I get to tell you about this new book from Penny Wylder. It is so beautiful!

This is an unexpected treat from this author. A two-part romance about high-school sweet hearts, second chances, and the glamorous yet complex world of celebrities. 

I think it's a worthwhile story because the characters feel like real people, relatable and nice and flawed. The combination of past and present added dimension to everything. From their meeting and falling in love around a high-school play of Pride and Prejudice to the current shooting of a film ten years after, it all hooked me.

It was so lovely (and sensual) when Peter and Amber were together for the first time, really moving and special.

Peter is a determined man who is in love and not afraid to fight for it. I really liked that this couple had a mystery past that slowly unfolded and how they struggled in the present because of the risk to their public image. Emotions galore! 

I fell in love with Peter and Amber. They are the perfect couple with issues. They truly, beautifully fall in love on the pages. The warmth of their connection is palpable and really there to grasp and feel. And then, OMG, it blooms into a magnificient love story that flushed my heart with a storm of emotions. It gutted me how two people who love each other so much could not find a way to happiness. I need more!!

Hopeful, arousing, and the perfect little romance that goes from nightmare to fantasy-turned-real.

The nerdy girl in high school and the hot Mr. Popular don’t seem to fit, yet they’re a lovely lovematch waiting to happen. Except jealousy and evil manipulation break in and stop it in its tracks.

All the past teen traumas are interspersed with the present time when Ollie is invited to the 10-year-highschool-reunion and has the chance to rehash her past humiliation or face her long-lost crush. I enjoyed every word of this story because who doesn’t like the sweet, nerdy girl to get all her dreams despite the odds? It’s well written, the scenes are gleefully entertaining, and the passionate moments leave you panting alright.

I loved the scene around the books, so tender. Add some spicy drama and deceit, mix in rich and entitled manipulators, and it’s all non-stop fun. Ollie’s friend and her kind of glamorous job are great, too. The epilogue shines with sensuality and male care, I loved it <3

MY OPINION

Who knew a hot night could mean so much?

Suspense and hot romance from this author? Yes, please! What a great plot to accompany this ardent couple. I loved it.

Jenna is a photographer spending a weekend in a quaint little town for a work project. For one scorching-hot night, her life changes dramatically as a mystery puzzles the locals and she meets a Viking-look-alike hottie that impregnates her. That’s a whole lot of entertainment if you consider all the steamy times, the dangers lurking in the quiet streets and a man on a mission to convince his woman to give him a chance to be a daddy and a partner.

I enjoyed the easy flow of the chapters, the deep commitment of the furniture-builder who really knows how to please his woman, the mystery surrounding the crime and the fact that Jenna is a photographer.

It’s a pretty romance in the middle of a little suspenseful thriller. Very good and a nice surprise form the author. Thumbs up!

He’s finished heating up the place now, and he crosses to me until his huge frame blocks the doorway I’m standing in. This close, I can feel the heat, but not from the stoves. It comes off his body, radiating from him like the summer sun. I step closer, until we’re chest-to-chest, and I’m gazing up into those bright eyes of his, mesmerized, entranced.

“I can see what you mean,” I admit, my voice softer now than it was back at the bonfire when we fired flirty, suggestive comments back and forth at one another. “I like it here too.”

“Do you now?” His hands are on me again, but touching me lightly this time, teasing. He trails a fingertip up my arm, then back down, leaving a trail of tingles in his wake, the fire stoking inside me to an almost unbearable degree. I feel like another one of his wood stoves. He knows just how to coax the flames in me. “I haven’t even shown you proper Bailey hospitality yet.” From the smirk on his mouth, I can guess what he means.

Still, I ask anyway. “What exactly does that entail?”

“Well.” He bends closer, eyes trapping mine, until his mouth hovers just inches away from my lips. “First, it would involve escorting you to my bedroom. Then…” His gaze breaks away, drips down my neck to my shirt. “I’d have to take off all those clothes of yours.”

A shiver traces its way along my spine. “I see. And then?”

“Then, I’d want you spread-eagled across my bed.” He dips toward me, and I shut my eyes, lips parted in anticipation of a kiss. But he slides right past my mouth, presses his cheek to mine once more, his breath hot on my ear. “After which I’ll be tasting every…” He catches my lobe between his lips, swirls his tongue around my earring, then kisses that soft, tender spot right beneath my ear, where it meets my neck. A spot that always makes me swoon. My knees feel weak under me. “… Inch of you,” he murmurs. His lips kiss down my neck to my collarbone, to the edge just visible under my shirt.

I rock toward him, unable to help myself, my hands drifting up to grip his shoulders for balance. “Mm,” I manage to say, distracted by his lips, his tongue edging along my neck. “And after you’re… satisfied with tasting?” I catch my breath, because he stops kissing my neck then, and draws back and with one finger under my chin, lifts my face toward his.

“I doubt I’d ever be satisfied with you,” he murmurs, a grin on his mouth. “But once I’ve made you come enough times that you can hardly catch your breath?” His eyes light up, because I have to catch my breath again, this time in a breathy little gasp. “Well, then I’ll f*ck you, Jenna.” His hands slide down from my waist, caressing my hips on their way to my ass, which he grabs with both hands, hard enough to lift me half an inch off the floor, and pressing my hips against his, where his stiff c*ck still digs into my belly, harder than a steel rod.

“All. Night. Long.”

MY OPINION

The need for speed in love.

 Everything in this hot romance is accelerated. The passion for cars and racing the male character shows since the very first and most exciting chapter, the ultimatum his father issues for him to inherit the Quin empire, the mindblowing plan he and a staff member concoct to solve the problem, and the obsessive desire he develops for the arranged wife he makes of the most unsuitable woman ever. 

Actually, I loved the female character. She's ardently trying to improve herself, has a fierce love for cars and family, and finds herself unable to resist the charms of this convinced bachelor. All the preparations for this fake engangement are quite entertaining, funny and tantalizing.

The intimate scenes are detailed and steamy. Eventually, the artificial love story turns into real feelings and the debacle explodes in heart-pulling ways for the poor heroine. I liked that final push to win her over.

“Hi,” I tell the receptionist. “I’m here for the intern program?”

The receptionist doesn’t answer at first. She’s too busy staring off at the far corner of the lobby. I follow her gaze, turning to see two men in deep conversation. One, the older one, looks vaguely familiar. The younger one looks angry, and a lot like the older man, and also… well. I can tell why the receptionist is distracted. Because damn, that man is built.

He has to be, what, 6’4”, 6’5”? And all lean muscle, too. Not body-builder huge, but the sort of guy who could unexpectedly lift you single-handedly and drag you in a fireman’s carry to the nearest bed. With those sharp biceps of his, the cut jawline and razor cheekbones over his perfect bow lips, I could imagine a thing or two to do in bed with him.

Just then, as though sensing my gaze—or maybe the receptionist’s—he turns. I catch a glimpse of dark, sharp eyes. The kind of eyes that could pin you in place with one glance, while he went to work spreading your legs open, bending you over a desk…

My cheeks go hot, and I whip around. Somewhere behind me, I catch a distant shout, and then a door slams. Only then does the receptionist tear her eyes away, back to me. She smiles once, apologetically.

“Just spying on the family drama,” she says with a laugh and a little flutter of a sigh that doesn’t convince me. Sure. Drama. That’s why you were eying Mr. Hunky over there like a fresh cut of steak. “That’s Mr. Quint and his son, Jasper,” she clarifies, in response to my blank stare.

Oh. My eyes widen. That’s why the older man looked familiar. Antoine Quint—I’ve seen his photo in about a thousand magazines, usually in those Magnate of the Year type features, but occasionally in the Rich Older Men (And Their Hot Wives) type categories too. With a father like that, and a mother like the bombshell I’ve seen pictured on Antoine’s arm at red carpet photo shoots, it’s no wonder his son—Jasper—is so distracting.

MY OPINION

At a very unorthodox wedding, Emma has an unforgettable encounter with a man whose intense challenge will change her to the core. This tale about trust and lust shows how a woman learns about her own sexuality in a very unconventional way. The scenes are lush, erotic, and they show the learning process of the Dom/sub lifestyle. 

Mathew Forester is one charismatic man. I might have been anxious in her circumstances, but it was certainly thrilling to witness all the little lessons and advice he had for her. I liked the corset metaphor so much! I loved the narrative and the well set emotions and atmosphere.

To be honest, I'm not a fan of bossy doms who issue punishments and decide everything for their subs, but the very sensual and intense setting of this relationship is definitely enjoyable.

Emma's struggle to overcome her fears mixes with the schorching-hot intimacy to create a very entertaining and naughty romance where a man falls in love with his new sub and a woman finds out what she's been missing thanks to the patience of her Dom.

“Hands above your head.” His tone doesn’t leave any room for argument, and I raise my hands. Matthew catches them, crossing them at the wrists and holding them captive in one hand. He’s strong—I might as well be wearing handcuffs for all that I’d be able to pull away from him, and my heart beats a little bit faster at the thought. He said to say ‘Red’ if I’m uncomfortable, but I’m not yet, even if my body instinctually recognizes danger.

“If we had more than fifteen minutes,” he says softly, “there are lots of things that I could do to show you what this life is about. But right now, it’s simple. Submission isn’t about me holding you down for sex, or about you becoming a doormat. It’s about trust, and offering something to one another. At the most basic level, you offer me power over you in exchange for pleasure, and I offer you freedom from having to make every decision.”

The most basic level, he said. What are the other levels? But now he’s kissing me and I can’t think because I’m once again on fire. Hot arousal rolls through me like a wave, and I moan, unable to help myself. Matthew simply chuckles against my lips and deepens the kiss, as if he knew that I would react this way.

MY OPINION

The hottest club in London.  Furiously sensual. I loved this. 

An ordinary girl ends up working at a club, but she's in for a surprise when she realizes the kind of underground activity the clients are enjoying there. She does her own share of naughty exploration with the connoiseur with green eyes that sets her senses aflame. 

The writing style is phenomenal, the fantasy scenarios where Cole and Andrea indulge all of their desires made me envious, and it's a lot of fun to discover the kinky nooks and crannies of Club Deep. 

This couple really knows how to go from lust to love in a blast of fiery passion. There's a little plot twist that I was anticipar inglés with excitement, but I think it was resolved too quickly and he didn't show enough remorse for his lack of faith. Anyway, the story is intense and hot, and I’m very keen on finding out about the other club owners
