Hi, book buddies :o) Today I'm bringing the heat a notch up with this cute little novella: HIS TO KEEP, by Katee Robert.
The hotness contained in this novella doesn't have an end. Loved it from the against-the-wall, freeing, explosive first time to the can't-have-enough-of-you lovemaking.
I totally relate to these pent-up feelings of people who have been harbouring longing for someone for so long. It adds so much intensity to the whole consumation of the characters finally giving in to their desires.
Marcy is a single mum, too concerned with raising her daughter the best way possible to even entertain the idea of having a life outside her routine. Thanks to a somewhat crazy night out with friends and too many shots, she ends up letting go of her self-imposed chastity with no less than her crush from long ago. And Aaron seems intent on firing up not only her body, but her plans in life too.
I enjoy it immensely when a man know he wants a woman and has no qualms about pursuing intimacy with her, of the emotional variety. It's so romantic, and shows both strength of character and that he is trustworthy. And Marcy is afraid to put her daughter at risk for a selfish desire to be with a man she can't forget. I understand how hard it is for her to find a balance. In finding it, and her reward and happiness with it, is the beauty of the story.

GUEST POST
IS THERE SUCH THING AS TOO MUCH STEAM
IN A ROMANCE?
One of the greatest things about romance,
is that there are as many different flavors as there are people read it. If
your cup of tea is sweet romance with closed door sex, there are a ton of books
to choose from. If you like things hot and heavy on the regular, there are as
many awesome Books to choose from.
One question that has come up since the
popularity of 50 shades of gray is: Can romance be too steamy?
To put it shortly—I don’t think so.
But, as in life, this question has a
variety of answers. Will there always be books on the hotter side of the scale
with explicit sex that people love? I hope so. I love writing them, and I adore
reading them.
Does that mean every romance reader will?
Of course not. Saying that is akin to the mistaken belief that all women want a
strapping white night with impressive man titty to charge into their lives on a
majestic white stallion. Will there always be people who love that type of man?
Sure. There’s nothing wrong with that. But take ten different women (or men,
for that matter) aside and ask them what their ideal partner is, and you’ll get
ten diverse answers.
It’s the beauty of being human.
Now, back to romance. Much like describing
a potential partner, people have a variety of reasons they read what they do.
Some like the escapism factor. Some like the happily-ever-after. Some like the
down and dirty sexy times.
So, because of that amazing diversity, I
don’t think romance can be too steamy. Too steamy for some people? Definitely.
But there will always be people out there who love steamy and have a rallying
call of, “the steamier, the better!”

About the Author...
Katee Robert learned to tell stories at her
grandpa’s knee. Her favorites then were the rather epic adventures of The Three
Bears, but at age twelve she discovered romance novels and never looked back.
Though she
dabbled in writing, life got in the way—as it often does—and she spent a few
years traveling, living in both Philadelphia and Germany. In between traveling
and raising her two wee ones, she had the crazy idea that she’d like to write a
book and try to get published.
Her first
novel was an epic fantasy that, God willing, will never see the light of day.
From there, she dabbled in YA and horror, before finally finding speculative
romance. Because, really, who wouldn’t want to write entire books about the
smoking-hot relationships between two people?
She now
spends her time—when not lost in Far Reach worlds—playing imaginary games with
her wee ones, writing, ogling men, and planning for the inevitable zombie
apocalypse.
GIVEAWAY TIME
Do you enjoy head-over-heels in love heroes?
Give me steamy romance!! hehehe. Tbh, I don't like romance novels if there is no passion shown. I mean, if everything is very poetic and platonic I just can't believe it, it feels really fake. Romance has to be passionate, steamy, "dirty", freeing. At least, for me :)
