Book buddies, you know I'm addicted to a serial that releases one story every month. Without further ado, JUNE is here!
Mia finds
herself in Washington posing as arm-candy for an old politician with a hot son
and a penchant for good causes. Surrounded by sleazy customs, she nonetheless
adapts quickly as is her way. I enjoyed the engaging prose as usual and all the
ever fun scenes we've grown used to in this serial. What I really liked,
though, it's how the author ties this episode back to all the previous
relationships Mia has had, and how they've affected her and her view on life.
As a result, she acts on it on an impulse that will forever be branded in her
life. The symbolism was so beautiful!
Tai, the sexy
Samoan, and Wes, the eternal romance on hold, and another character from her
past make a significant appearance. Oh, Wes, I'm so looking forward to the time
you're in Mia's life for good. I'm rooting for that.
For a while,
I was disappointed at the lack of hard politics because I had imagined official
buildings and power struggles as part of the plot. However, lavish events and
charity goals were only the appetizer for an amazing plot twist that left me
panting and stunned. Wow. Drama in big letters. And I loved the way Mia's
friends run to protect her. That was so sweet.
What a journey! It makes you think, ponder your decisions, and also expect the unexpected with this totally awesome serial.

Series: Calendar Girl #6
Author: Audrey Carlan
Release Date: June 25, 2015
Politics, phallic statues, and pretty women.
Literally everywhere you look, you see an old man and a gold-digging cling-on wrapped around their wrinkly arms.
Luck had not gone my way when Warren Shipley, one of the nation’s wealthiest men hired me to play arm-candy in order to save face with the other one percenters he did business with. At least that’s what I thought when I arrived in Washington, DC, until I was met by old man Shipley’s debonair and insanely handsome son. Aaron Shipley was notably the youngest senator in the history of politics voted Senator of California at the tender age of thirty-five. Single, beyond rich, and the face of every political magazine around the US. Women everywhere wanted a taste of that power.
Me, I’d always thought politics were boring…boy was I wrong. Democracy had never been more exciting.
In the sixth book of the Calendar Girl serial, Mia is sent to our nation’s capital, Washington, DC. Still on her mission to save her father, she embraces the life of a gold-digging whore to allow her client to get close to other very powerful men.
Each installment in the Calendar Girl Serial will release every month throughout 2015. The stories will feature Mia’s journey as an escort to twelve clients in twelve different locations.
