MY OPINION

A thrilling pace and a twisted plot for an epic couple of lovers to enemies to all hot and bothered. This is a gritty story of betrayal, secrets and dramatic romance. 

I fell for Lucifer from the very moment he came up in one of the Walker Security novels, so his own trilogy feels like a personal favour to me :-D He might be a hero with as many shadows as muscles, but he sure knows how to love his woman. Even after a dangerous breakup!

I loved the tug-of-war between Lucifer and Ana as they confront a stormy past with links to a present brimming with threats, crime, and corruption. Ana is a tough woman, trained and smart, and has no qualms in putting up a fight against enemies of all types. Luckily, her resolve is not Lucifer-proof. I guess his heat is too much to resist! So while they are dealing with killers and deaths and past mistakes, they cannot ignore the pull of lust and love and torn feelings.

The suspense is spiky and centres around a dreadful event in the past with ties to a mystery that is proving lethal. I really enjoyed the tormented scenes where Lucifer and Ana try to mend their relationship. They are full of passion and regret. How can they forgive the unforgivable? 

Though nothing is what it seems and things start one way but grow to be quite the other. I'm eager to find out what is going on with the bad guys and what they're after. The final scene is clever and a total hook.
