What an
exciting premise, book buddies! We have not only two professional fighters, but a woman who's
more than ready to tackle them both. I was very intrigued about how this idea
would come out as a romantic plot.
MY OPINION OF A FIGHTER'S DESIRE, 1 & 2
It starts as
any other night when the twins pick a girl from the bunch of offerings. They,
they get rejected to their utter surprise. It was a lot of fun to see them work
their brains to understand what had happened and to adapt to the novelty.
It turns into
a challenge, a game to best this woman and get away with their lust fulfilled.
Everyone thought she would teach them a lesson, but I had my doubts. How would
she really put up a metaphorical fight against two notorious womanizers? I was
very curious about how it would play out without resorting to Ashleigh pretending to act hard to get. well, the
author surprised me. She sure is a tough cookie and know how to stand up for
herself.
The scenes
were varied, funny and hot. Ashleigh, as a trophy to be won, unwittingly creates
a ridge between the two brothers due to unresolved issues. Despite a huge bad
situation, she still tries to ease the tension while claiming her right to be
respected. Of course, if this twin hurricane for her senses wasn't enough, she
still has another love interest she'd met long before the brothers.
I was getting
into the mood of the story when it suddenly finished. So disappointing! I was
left without a real closure for what had started so well regarding the
relationship of Ashleigh with the twins. It still made a little sense though.
Consequently,
I was happy to see all three again in the next story. This one is about
Gabriella, sister to a very strict fighter who imposes a rule on her. No
fighter can touch her. So she's in a very frustrated position considering she's
infatuated with one in particular.
As he doesn't
want to incur in her brother's wrath, nor is he looking for any attachments,
Gabriella enrolls Ryley's help to set him a very hot trap. I really liked all her
naughty plans, even when they backfired!
I have to be honest, I'm so curious about the
twins that I want more of their story. I want to know if one of them will find
love and if the other will conquer his demons and give a nice woman a chance.
It was great to see them interact within the new plot which is as funny and
cute as the first one.
Even though I
wouldn't relate to Gabby all the time, I still liked her. She's trained as a
fighter, but she's a sensible girl despite the fact that she's leading on one
guy while trying to seduce another.
She's also
trying so hard to have fun, but her feelings get in the way. Her hot fighter
feels so distant in terms of emotions. I think both stories are hot, sexy,
entertaining with lots of different scenes and characters, but definitely have
a bittersweet undertone. Both girls get what they want, but then again they
don't. Fun reading, and hot fighters too!
