MY OPINION OF... EIGHTY-ONE NIGHTS

Romance with the thrill of the forbidden.

I like when a couple meets in illicit circumstances, yet love is able to bloom from the wrong kind of roots.

This novel is good and easy entertainment. A Scottish rich man looks for the girlfriend experience and finds it in the Inamorata organization, where Cait is trying to get funds for her last terms in college. Perfect scenario :-D

This author is new to me, so I hadn't read any of her previous novels and this new work based on her other stories is ok by me. I was able to enjoy every part of this first novel in the Beautiful Illusions duet. I liked the steps of the relationship from the contract and the provocative appeal to the intense lust and every little thing that eventually becomes meaningful for the characters. They're both starving for affection, so it leaks from the inner dialogue in the double POV into their dialogues and the time they spend together doing lovers' things.

At first, the circumstances were going pretty fast and it felt a bit artificial, but soon the paid-for relationship took precedence and all is heat, romance and a deeper connection. Maybe in the end, the man could have reacted better to his inamorata's confession, but the reason for the drama was staged in a way that I'm clamouring for more :-)

MY OPINION OF... BEAUTIFUL EVER AFTER

Lots of romance and drama for the conclusion of this duet.

It still has this breezing writing style that makes the reading go by quickly. The events, though, are quite dramatic. I felt so sorry for Cait/Lou, her suffering is real and terrible.

At least, the passion between she and Hutch is back and infused with a touching love. It’s quite intense.

The enemies surround this forbidden couple, but family also embraces them. I really liked how close they become, the huge change in his views on commitment, and the hot passion they exude.

Even though the writing style makes it a bit superficial at times, I enjoyed the story itself as the characters fall in love, cry over painful losses, and fight for their union. That fights takes a turn that is most surprising as it involves dubious plans and strategies, and the right kind of powerful women.

Entertaining twist, no doubt. On the other hand, I was surprised at the sudden change in Lou’s attitude. It seemed a bit out of character, scary even, though it worked wonders to solve a certain ugly issue. I liked her smart moves, but the violent ones not so much. However, the ending is quite good as there’s lots of happiness and family warmth. That and the tragedy at the beginning were my favourite parts to read.

MY OPINION

Destructively Alluring 

My goodness, this novella starts hard. There is no pun, I promise. Well, there is, but not intended. It's just how things go with this story. I had been warned that it had too much nonsensical sex, but still I was curious and I was sucked into the vortex of wanting to read it anyway. You know how it is.

Well, I read both novellas, DESTRUCTIVELY ALLURING and ALLURE MAGNIFIED. Yes, there is too much sex. Yes, it's a bit overwhelming sometimes. Still, I LOVED them. Why? Because they're so entertaining. It's that kind of storytelling that makes you forget about facts and reality and that you're toiling in life. I read both novellas in a row, and wow, I forgot I was on planet Earth.

I liked the characters' names, so posh, Dorian and Demitra. He's thirty years old. She's eleven years younger and working for him as an intern as a favor to her dad. Sparks fly high and mighty. Torn between common sense and desire, they just can't help but fall into their need to be together.

My, my. This story is pure heat wrapped in deliciously hot words. The first novella is told entirely from the man's perspective. I've always found it both refreshing and sexy to see things, especially steamy encounters or love stories, through the eyes of "the other side". And this man is getting out of control with his attraction to the young lady. She's off limits, but nature has its own demands. This is plainly recognised by the primal need and animalistic obsession that ooze from the author's prose.

A tingling read that has to be immediately followed by the second novella. Go there now!

Allure Magnified

I read through the second novella in as much a crazy haste as the couple in there. This time, Demi and Dorian have to stay away from each other for a while, straining their self-control. When they can be together again, there are more challenges ahead. Demi's father is still oblivious to what her daughter is doing behind his back and someone from Dorian's past is about to threaten their precarious relationship. Also, Dorian has his doubts that Demi is really his forever. 

Hottest of the hot, I assure you. It has to be read in a rush just to assuage the need to know and feel.

So while I was happily reading, I suddenly found myself with a "to be continued". What?!!! I was gripping the sides of m y e-reader so hard with frustration that I thought it'd crack. It hurt to stop reading there. Really hurt.

To wrap it up, I'll say this story is a long, hot, love dance. It's all about a frenzied battle of the bodies to reach mind-numbing ecstasy and the minds to exert dominance over a lover's need for the other. Perfect for those moments you just want to dive into the action without a care in the world. And the writing style is wild and basic. Like lust. So it's (un)safe to say it's a book to lust after.

Part 3!

 

And that teaser for part 3, oh my! That was so provocative. It's full of desperation, regret, and past mistakes that are going to put Demi and Dorian's love to the test. It is sooooo hot too ;o) I'm so eager to find out what happens. Please, let it be soon.

“Are you on a date with him?” The thought maddened me. I could barely stand it. “Am I that f*cking forgettable to you?”

Tears flooded her eyes and her breath rushed out on a sob. “No, you f*cking *sshole. I wish I could forget you that easily.”

That’s all I needed to hear.

I rushed to her.

Her eyes widened. Shaking her head, she stepped back.

Too late.

Grabbing her arms, I hauled her up against me. The moment her body collided with mine, sheer hunger exploded in my veins, drowning my body.

A shaky breath left her and she melted into me, staring at my lips with a hunger as intense as the one I felt.

Damn her.

I laid my forehead on hers and wrapped my arms around her. “Then why are you here with him?”

She turned her face away from me. “It’s business related. His father might need me to help out part-time—”

“No.” I could never begin to explain how much I didn’t want her near him. In any capacity. Didn’t want him as her friend. Definitely didn’t want her fucking working with him.

Demitra squirmed in my hold. “You don’t have a say in that. Now let me go.”

I refused to do so, tightening my hold on her. “Yes I do.”

“We’re not together anymore!” she cried.

Did she have any clue how badly I ached every time she said that? “Look at me.”

She ducked her head.

I shook her lightly, unable to stop myself. “Look. At. Me.”

Tear-filled baby blue eyes met mine.

My breath hitched and a vibration went through my body—lust in it’s basic form. I wanted to ease her pain in the most primal way possible. Give her every inch of me. F*ck the pain right out of her.

“I love you. You’re everything to me. Stop pushing me away.” I was begging her at that point, and I couldn’t bring myself to give a damn.

I’d get on my knees, give her anything. Do anything. But letting her go wasn’t an option for me. I’d known that the day she disappeared on me in Chicago. The day she left me.

The last three weeks without her had done nothing but drive that point home. I needed her to live.

“I can’t be with you,” she whispered, running her hands across my shoulders, up toward my neck. “Not after what I’ve seen.”

“Bullshit.” I hugged her close and rocked my hard c*ck into her. “I know it hurts. That nothing I do will make you forget what you saw, baby. But no one’s ever owned me the way you do. You have to know that.”

“Oh, please.” Scoffing, she pushed at my chest. “Not only does your reputation speak for itself, but I’ve officially seen that you’re a sex god with anyone you sleep with. So don’t f*cking pretend sex with me is special.”

My fist slammed into the brick wall next to her head.

Demi jumped, falling silent.

I didn’t care that I’d scraped my knuckles wide open.

Her doubts were understandable. I’d have them too in her place. Just seeing her sitting across from Keith, the first man to ever have her, f*cked with my head.

Had I seen her sleeping with him and actually enjoying it, I would’ve been ruined too.

And I told her that.

“So please understand,” she begged me, slamming her hands into my chest.

“But—” I grabbed her hands and kept them pressed to me. “I f*cking adore you, baby, and I would’ve never left you. No matter how much seeing something like that wrecked me. I would’ve stayed. I can’t live without you.”

The fight leaked out of her and her body slumped against mine. She looked defeated. Hopeless.

She’d given up on us.

Cupping her face, I pleaded with her. “Don’t do this, Demi. We love each other.”

Her fingers wrapped around my wrists, but she didn’t try to pull my hands away. “I can’t forget what I saw. It eats at me.”

I kissed her forehead. “I know. Just like seeing you with Keith ate at me.”

She tensed. “It’s not the same thing and you know it.”

“I do,” I agreed in a low voice. “What you saw is a thousand times worse. But I can make it better. Nothing could hurt more than us being apart.”

“Seeing you f*cking two women at the same time hurts more than you can ever imagine.”

Until I met Demi, I had never regretted anything I’d done in the past. Hell, I hadn’t thought about my past while with her, and therefore couldn’t entertain the idea of regretting anything.

That is, until Monica decided to get territorial. The bitch didn’t care if she had to share me, as long as she was free to have some part of me.

Correction: as long as I was free.

I was consumed by Demitra. Not once since sleeping with her had it crossed my mind to be with someone else.

She owned me.

Book buddies, I'm so glad to be part of this release. I can honestly say this serial has taken me by surprise by how good and sexy and heart-melting it is. I want this couple to have their happy ending... in all ways! ;o)

MY OPINION OF THE HOTEL 1

Yes, yes, yes! Where is this hotel? I need to book a room right away. Preferably, the one currently occupied by the God of All Orgasms himself ;-)

An important element of this story is the setting: an historical hotel vibrant with anecdotes and old decor. It's as much a character as Juliet and Dominic. This is the doomed couple in the making. I really liked her because she's passionate about this kind of architectural landmarks and she's also sweet when it comes to her reactions to broody, gorgeous Mr. Hot and Unavailable.

The writing style is fluid and natural, and the story flew under my eyes as I devoured the suspense, the secrets, the tension and the extremely delectable steamy encounters.

It's also funny and sexy and interesting. I liked everything about it from the spontaneous trap at the beginning to Juliet's internship at the hotel and the challenges that make their difficult relationship all the more enticing and forbidden.

I only missed Dom's POV, but it still felt amazing to see everything through Juliet's eyes, mind and heart. I hope for her sake that this man has a soft spot for her enough to understand what's hiding behind her innocent role in his life. So, so ready for part 2!

MY OPINION OF THE HOTEL 2

This second part is all about luxury and excitement and new ideas.

Juliet is having a taste of tempting things she's never had before, slowly falling under the erotic lure of her brooding boss. The hotel might be on the brink of scandal and ruin, but her creative mind contributes promising venues for success that Dominic is eager to promote.

How I loved those dynamics between them. As much as the hot intimate scenes that the author's thrilling words turn into a velvety seduction

Amazing changes keep happening. And, OMG, that scene on the plane? I could have died from the bliss ;-)

The exhilarating plans for the hotel combine with the intoxicating passion between Dom and Juliet. You devour the pages and they devour you back.

Though the fairy tale quality of this dreamy adventure couldn't diminish the dread that I felt for what was to come. Dom is showing so much trust in her that I kept thinking how devastating it'd be when her secret was revealed. Oh, tremble.

And then the palace of beauty starts to crumble down. Though to be honest, considering Juliet's secret, I can't understand why she gets so upset with his.

Until the real tragedy strikes and splashes everyone with betrayal and pain and fury. Wow, what an ending! All is lost until part 3 comes out. Please, let it be all right again...

The Excess Series is a must

The Excess series is a surprise that will delight everyone. It's really good and addictive, and I'm so glad that I found it :o)

MY OPINION OF THE SERIES.

I told you about OPULENCE in my review here a while back, and now I want to share my thoughts on REVERENCE and HINDRANCE.

REVERENCE

Exciting and gripping, this second part took me by storm. At the end of Opulence, I was very curious about Aiden and his sudden dominance. Though now that Devin’s motives are becoming clearer, I’m starting to feel divided.

I really enjoyed finding out about this villain’s past and how he saw Nina through his eyes when he meter her and fell for her.

Though Aiden has his powerful tricks to make Nina crave him over the burdens from her past. Undeniably, the author displays her own weapons with a narrative full of lust and fire.

It was fulfilling to look at those moments shared by Devin and Nina when he’s remembering them with regret and longing.

It took me by surprise a certain turn of events about Nina’s nature and how Devin reacted to it. Very appealing, and sexy.

Another favourite surprise was Nina’s struggle with her life and emotions, the way she tries to deal with them and learn to let go and be free.

Overall, I liked part 1, though part 2 is a knock-out. Greedy lust, cool dialogues, attractive characters and a fast pace that delivers the intertwined lives of three people that keep getting more and more addictive. And that cliffhanger? It bursts with drama and eroticism. Impressive.

HINDRANCE

Awesome, unbelievable! I can’t even begin to describe how I feel or what this finale is like.

It’s an absolute hurricane that will wipe your mind clean of preconceptions or assumptions. The plot really takes a savage turn that left me reeling with incredulity.

You won’t see anything coming! When it’s there, though, you will go nuts.

Everything I thought I knew about Aiden or Devin, just blew to pieces. As kick-ass twists started mounting, I could only ride the dragon and brace myself for the onslaught of emotional storms coming my way.

This serial has been a rollercoaster for me. At first, it was ok, and I was curious. Then I became hooked and really happy to be on board. However, this final part just blew me to pieces and rebuilt me in a completely different way. 

There is horror, amazing hot scenes, crazy plot twists and a rewarding end that made me happy and sated all my needs. What’s more, the author has a new treat in store for us. Taylor’s story in the Predator and Prey series is coming Fall 2015. Yay!
