This is the moment I was anticipating. Uncovering the real man, the soul, behind all the antics, dirty tricks, and weird behaviour that Dylan had offered like a bad canapé on a tray in the first part. And, wow, it really pays off.

That deep scar he carries inside like a disease has an incredibly poignant and powerful way to come up in the story.

Another one of my favourite scenes takes place at a shop. It's not because it's about shopping, but due to the banter between Dylan and Derek, the witty assistant.

It's beautiful and fun the part where their relationship takes more meaningful steps. I related to the characters' feelings, their attraction both physical and emotional to each other. The, I was devoured by the rapturous description of their intimacy. It was about time, and really, really hot.

Blissful, actually. That's why the shock is even worse when the bomb drops. I knew something bad would be coming to spoil the romance, but wow, it took me by surprise indeed! 

It's full of drama, and tenderness and crushing pain and hope and I loved it. The end is really well-rounded, and I absolutely loved the whole plot, especially in this second part, and the amazing writing style. Good, good job!

MY OPINION

How do you say no to a booty call from J. D. Hawkings? Exactly, you don't. That's why I was so excited to read this new idea from the author, so refreshing and tantalizing. His vibrant narrative and the double POV make the story really arousing, and the fantasy of it real, hot and desirable.

Can you imagine there were a real booty call app in your phone? Would you use it? The temptation to try it out would be there, for sure. Dylan is no newbie to its naughty, one-night stand wonders, but what he finds on the other side of the line one night is exactly the opposite. A down-to-earth girl with a sultry voice who entices more than lust out of him. He's curious about her. He's tempted beyond the flesh.

Don't get me wrong, the chemistry and ensuing physical explosions of lust are perfect. you'll become heated even in the middle of winter. Though I appreciated that there was mental seduction thrown in the barging. Even some background to the characters that seeps into the action in the first part.

What's more, the booty call is just a bright excuse for another premise that's equally exciting and with a good dose of plot. Fast-paced and full of surprising turns, it involves film settings, weird contracts, dark secrets we can only imagine, and pent-up emotions that blow up between Dylan and Gemma.

I admit I'm hooked all the way, but Dylan tends to behave like a real jerk and Gemma is earning her place in heaven because of him. Let's hope the man redeems himself in the next installment of the series, for Gemma's sake at least.

MY OPINION OF PART ONE

(And I want to keep reading)

This is the kind of sexy and unexpected read I love.

At first, I didn't care much for the male character. Fron mis point of view, Jax tells of his sexual exploits which inspire him to create beautiful and cutting-edge architecture. He's too full of himself, and apparently a bit shallow. Thank goodness for character evolution ;o)

The sensual, effective writing style is convincing enough to push you along the story in search of some meaning. When Jax meets Lizzie, it's no life-changing event, but he finds her so tempting that he acts on a few chances until he wins her over. That's when the original and exciting plot twist happens.

It is mind-blowing! I loved every seductive, tantalizing, devilishly lewd part of it. Jax takes Lizzie on a journey of passionate exploration that opens her mind to a new world of sensations and self-discovery, and wakes her body up to pleasures unknown to her. He's crass and harsh, but he's also hypnotic and tallented and I could feel myself melt in his hands at the same time as Lizzie.

As the story progresses, the dialogues get better. Due to the nature of their pact, the encounters between Jax and Lizzie become hotter, dirtier, and more revealing. I liked how things change throughout their times together. Lizzie is sweetn, real, warm, and learns the ways of freedom and pleasure at Jax's capable hands. 

Actually, the story it turns out to be romantic, sexy as hell, and ends up on a surprising and frustrating, but promising note that left me eager to put my hands on the second part. New author? I love you already ;o)
