Deep Surrendering 6: getting deeper + giveaway

After 5 episodes, I just have to know what's going on with this conflictive couple.

Life is full of uncertainties for Marisol. Friends, family, and Fin. All add to her anxiety, but she's determined to push through.

Even though they're still separated by distance, Fin and Marisol are wonderfully connected. Some scenes are cute and funny, and they always flow naturally.

Fin is getting bolder in his steps for freedom from his father's hold on him. He also plans something incredibly romantic that only a very rich and thoughtful person could get away with. I envied Marisol so much!

In this episode, she is riddled with doubts. She goes from defending her relationship to stressing about its futility. She wants more and is not sure she can get it. Chloe, her friend, is really great with her. Their friendship really shines here. On the other hand, the mystery around Marisol's mother still bangs my head.

I was sorry to see that Fin's job still keeps them apart, so no sexy times yet. Though that ending is SO promising. I can't wait to read episode 7. It's going to be a hell of a party!

For the first time in their short and rocky relationship, Marisol is having doubts about how to move forward with her relationship with Fin. Will the secrets and the distance finally come between them and end things forever?

Hey, book buddies! Just a couple of days ago I promised I'd gush all about DEEP SURRENDERING, part 5, by Chelsea M. Cameron. I'm pretty much into this serial now as it's reached part 5, but don't worry, it's still very good and I won't spoil the fun for you with a detailed review. Just a tiny teaser. And don't forget the giveaway. It's still standing!

With thousands of miles separating them, will Fin and Marisol be able to keep their relationship alive? 

Or will the distance finally come between them?

*This is a novella of 20K words and the fifth in a series of novellas. They will release on the third Thursday of every month. MY OPINION OF DEEP SURRENDERING 5

Marisol is here. Fin is not. He's in Paris. The distance is taking its toll but is also achingly romantic. I loved, oh so much, the scene where they have a long-distance date. I won't go into detail so as not to spoil the surprise but it was so cute and I envied them so much for that precious experience they shared. Romantic and original.

Favourite quote:

Al the best things happen under the cover of darkness.

This separation also serves to enhance this couple's feelings with a bittersweet quality. Of course, they indulge in some intimate moments that are worth your rapt attention.

Not everything is perfect. Some trust issues pop up between them. And let's not forget the secrets. Oh yeah, they keep coming and they're sadder than ever. I don't think Marisol has any chance of breaking Fin's spell over her now.

Their phone calls and video chats felt very real. I liked their interaction a lot. Family and friends also have their role in making it all feel real and connected.

And then comes that cliffhanger at the end of this episode that's shocked me with worry and doubts. Chelsea, dear girl, I'm holding on, I promise, but right now I'm on edge!

Deep Surrendering: so glad it's time for episode 4 + giveaway

Hi, book buddies! I was anticipating this installment since the promising ending of episode 3. I'm now in tune with this series of novellas and don't want to miss any part of DEEP SURRENDERING, by Chelsea M. Cameron.

Marisol is determined to help Fin face his demons when it comes to intimacy. Despite all her misgivings and concessions to Fin's daring lovemaking, she's sure the darkness within him can be dispelled. Somehow, she'll prove it to him that mending is possible through gentleness and trust. However, they have little time together. And he's a challenge like no other.

I definitely liked the effort Marisol puts into helping Fin relax and getting to know him better. Even though there are no guarantees, she believes in them as a couple.

It feels real and far from easy how the author describes this process of pushing through emotional barriers. Both characters strain to find the path towards deep, true connection unimpeded by their fears. Fin keeps sharing dark secrets from his past, afraid of that one particular thing that will be too much to bear. I think in this episode we finally learn the meaning of the title. There's much evolution in their relationship both in and out of bed. I really enjoyed every page.

Also, they get a little playful at times so it is a lot of fun too.

Now, about that ending... sexy and bittersweet. I'm so pumped up for episode 5.

“Now, you should know that this an activity I do exclusively alone. I don’t even think Chloe knows that I do this. This is where I come when I’m upset, or depressed, or when a certain boy is being mean to me.”

Fin raised his hand.

“I’m going to take a shot in the dark and guess that I’m the boy to which you’re referring.”

“You might be,” I said as we walked toward the pond, pulling out the loaf of bread. I handed him a piece and we sat together on one of the benches. It was another lazy summer night, everyone moving slowly in the warm air.

“Now we wait.”

He stared down at the bread as if he’d never seen it before. “For what?”

“Haven’t you ever fed ducks in the park?”

He shook his head.

Hey, book buddies. Having a good weekend? I hope so because I'm having a great one in good bookish company ;o)

After reading episode 2, I couldn't pass the opportunity to hop onto the next installment of DEEP SURRENDERING, by Chelsea M. Cameron.

Marisol and Fin are together, trying out their exhilarating arrangement of exchanging a secret for unrestricted intimacy. Things are escalating between them, feelings going deeper while their encounters grow hotter.

Marisol has to walk a fine line between Fun fin and Dark Fin, never knowing when she'll push too far but relishing every second that gets them closer to each other.

I loved every page of this episode. It was so deliciously naughty, but at the same time the emotional tension was off the charts. Sweet moments of the normal dating kind abounded and made the reading so much cuter. Everything was getting so intense because they are exploring so many possibilities together, freeing their bodies and minds bit by bit even though the pleasure was tainted by Fin's oncoming departure on a trip. 

And then it came to an end. I have to know what happens next! It's my favourite episode so far. I need more, please!

DEEP SURRENDERING, episode 3

Marisol's days with Fin are dwindling and they still haven't discussed where they stand, and that's not the only thing Marisol doesn't know about him. They've continued to trade secrets for sex, but when Fin reveals one particularly traumatic secret, will Marisol be able to handle it? Or is it better call it quits before she falls even deeper?
