MY OPINION

Incredibly sweet, full of funny moments and surprises.

This adorably cute novel is the perfect way to pamper your inner romantic. Friends-to-lovers romance at work, with a double POV that shows how deeply fascinated Jordan is with the woman of his dreams, and how adorkably eager Jay is to fall for the scarred man of few words she has lunch with every day at work.

Hilarious dates, infinite patience from a man with his girl, and welcomed appearances from couples in other novels n the series are just a few of the things I loved about this story. He's calm, resourceful. She's smart and assertive yet melts when he gives her syrupy pleasure. Those steamy scenes were enough to make you forget time!

Don't let the cute and lovely fool you, though. There's some gut-wrenching drama too, surrounding family and a danger lurking in the bowels of Osbourn Corp. The story grows so much more than I'd anticipated. I enjoyed how computer science was incorporated into the action. From cute to deep and meaningful, this romance encompasses true love, and the courage to let go of it to love even more. Beautiful all throughout, even that inspirational epilogue that feels like paradise :-D

Sometimes it's difficult to know the difference between dominance and humiliation. Maybe that depends on each individual. We can certainly find out for ourselves with books like CLAIMED, by M. Never.

MY OPINION OF CLAIMED

Can a man redeem himself after submitting a captive woman to degradation and forced pleasure? That's the question that Claimed answers in full force. This is the second part that follows the story of Kayne and Ellie one year after some intense and illicit events that bonded them forever.

She cannot come to terms with all the dominance, lies and acts he forced upon her, but she still misses the man who changed her, chained her, and made her writhe in the throes of passion. I like the fact that Kayne is really suffering the effects of losing the woman he came to love while subjecting her to his whims. Of course, he had his reasons which he desperately tries to explain to Ellie. While she's under the erotic spell he still has over her, I liked that she fights her conditioning to respond to his commanding presence.

Even though they shared a staggeringly deep intimacy while they were Dom and slave, now they are really getting to know each other. I was as surprised as Ellie at how open with his feelings Kayne is, but she has doubts. She's afraid of how different he is now. Could this gentle side of his be trusted? What about his real job? Will it be a threat to their future?

Most of the time, I was thoroughly entertained by the dynamics of the characters, the steamy scenes aplenty and the dangers that lurk from Kayne's past.

Speaking of steamy scenes. Get buckets of cold water near you. Dray throat and pumping heart will be on the menu every five minutes. You're welcome. And you can't imagine how unbelievably hot things become when they both let go of their insecurities and plunge headfirst into a consuming level of passion. Hot warning: there is a certain scene with a strawberry that you just have to read!

Lustfest, jealousy, paradise islands, all converge with secrets from Kayne's past and a heart-pounding ending loaded with revenge and adrenaline. No room for boredom with this story. It will claim you right from the start.
