Incredibly sweet, full of funny moments and surprises.
This adorably cute novel is the perfect way to pamper your inner romantic. Friends-to-lovers romance at work, with a double POV that shows how deeply fascinated Jordan is with the woman of his dreams, and how adorkably eager Jay is to fall for the scarred man of few words she has lunch with every day at work.
Hilarious dates, infinite patience from a man with his girl, and welcomed appearances from couples in other novels n the series are just a few of the things I loved about this story. He's calm, resourceful. She's smart and assertive yet melts when he gives her syrupy pleasure. Those steamy scenes were enough to make you forget time!
Don't let the cute and lovely fool you, though. There's some gut-wrenching drama too, surrounding family and a danger lurking in the bowels of Osbourn Corp. The story grows so much more than I'd anticipated. I enjoyed how computer science was incorporated into the action. From cute to deep and meaningful, this romance encompasses true love, and the courage to let go of it to love even more. Beautiful all throughout, even that inspirational epilogue that feels like paradise :-D
