Calling me Home is beautiful

Book buddies, you know I'm a hardcore fan of Louise Bay's. Her serials are just swoon-worthy, so here I am today with the release of CALLING ME HOME, the third and final part in a beautiful story.

Calling Me Home
Erotic Novella Series

MY OPINION

Love and pleasure pour out of every word in this finale. For Ashleigh and Luke, their friendship-turned-to-romance is reaching its apex. They still have doubts, fears, but they've come to the realization of their need and profound commitment to each other. And it's beautiful.

It felt so good to watch them interact. Romantic, warm and real, a couple making adjustments, joking, sharing thoughts, decisions and heart-melting steamy times. I really loved how close they've  become, but it put me on the verge of tears when a plot twist throws their relationship against the ropes. I was elated with all of it. So sweet and romantic and emotional. Everything about it warmed my heart and put a smile on my face. Including that ending with a magnolia touch that I was hoping for.

Now, it's only a question of patiently waiting for Beth's story. And you know what? I could envision a story for Richard, too. He's flawed, but he's also sweet. I think he deserves his own happily ever after ;o)

Calling Me
Erotic Novella Series

Is it possible for a guy to turn on a switch and realize he’s been in love with a girl that’s been under his nose for over a decade? Ashleigh Franklin can’t decide.
Ashleigh wants the fairy tale. Ever since she was a kid, her best friend’s brother, Luke, has been her fantasy Prince Charming. Now he’s trying to convince her that she’s the one he’s wanted all these years. There’s no way it’s that easy to escape the friend zone.

Single after years living with a girlfriend, Luke has finally woken up. What he’s been waiting for has been right under his nose for almost his entire life. Can he persuade her that he’s serious and won’t break her heart?
A Wonder Woman costume, a bottle of tequila and a game of truth or dare between two close friends changes everything.

ABOUT THE MASTERMIND

USA Today bestselling author, Louise Bay writes sexy, contemporary romance novels – the kind she likes to read. Her books include the novels Faithful and Hopeful and the novella series’ The Empire State Series, What the Lightning Sees and Calling Me. The novels and together each series are stand-alone although there are some overlapping characters.

Ruined by romantic mini-series of the eighties, Louise loves all things romantic. There's not enough of it in real life so she disappears into the fictional worlds in books and films.

Louise loves the rain, the West Wing, London, days when she doesn’t have to wear make-up, being on her own, being with friends, elephants and champagne.

She loves to hear from readers so get in touch!

Calling Me Away is addictive

Book buddies, you know I'm a hardcore fan of Louise Bay's. Her serials are just swoon-worthy, so here I am today with the release of CALLING ME AWAY, the second part in a beautiful story.

MY OPINION

From highly sensual to emotionally deep, this part of Ashleigh and Luke's story is just gripping.

The writing is beautiful, subtle, and aware of the psychology of love. Ashley makes a daring decision about her relationship with Luke, but I completely understood her and supported it. It was painful to see them struggle with the consequences, yet they also allowed them to grow and appreciate what was between them in a new light.

All the while, my nerves were in knots because I dreaded that they were missing their chance at happiness.

i smiled, I worried, I hoped and I sighed over every painful separation, every moment of touching intimacy. It all felt perfect. I fyou like impossible but fated romance with a sense of transformation and a steamy, beautiful romance, this is it.

Oh, by the way, I love a certain detail about a magnolia tree. I think it will have a sublime symbolism in the next part. Wait and see ;o)

MY OPINION

Louise Bay knows her characters' hearts, and her fluid, natural writing style picks the nuances of feelings so well that the reader just becomes the characters.

I was feverish to read Ashleigh and Luke's story. Unrequited love has such a powerful appeal. Ash's sadness at her unattainable love for Luke is palpable. Luke, on the other hand, is struggling with his notion of "happily ever after" with his current girlfriend. While Ash needs to free hreself from an impossible life with him, he starts to realize that his heart is not fulfilled without a real bond.

Slowly, they dance around what they mean to each other in tighter circles, and I was precious to see. I loved the situation with all my heart. Despite that, I felt painfully sorry for Emma, the real victim in this story. She's in love and wants to start a family, but ends up completely devoid of everything. One thing I can't understand is how two people can live together and share finances and still not think there is a future commitment  between them, or that there is a tepid feeling from one of them towards the other.

Anyway, when their circumstances finally align, the beauty of it is touching. It's bursting with feelings and gorgeous sensuality. I'm so invested in this relationship that I could relate to all the doubts and fears and needs.

I'm sure the next part is going to be awesome!

The series looks beautiful!
