Where is Kiro?

He’s the lost Dragusha brother, heir to a vast mafia empire—brilliant, violent, and utterly savage…and he’s been missing for years.

Ann

I'm supposed to be doing simple undercover research at the Fancher Institute for the Mentally Ill & Dangerous, but I can’t keep my mind off Patient 34. He’s startlingly young and gorgeous, but it’s not just that. He’s strapped way too tightly to that bed. And there’s no name or criminal history on his chart. What are these people hiding? My reporter’s instincts are screaming.

Here's the other thing: the staffers here believe he’s so sedated that there’s not a thought in his head, but I catch him watching me when nobody’s looking. Our connection sizzles when I enter the room. When our eyes meet, I know he understands me in a way nobody else ever has.

I’m supposed to follow my editor’s orders—I have secrets, too—but everything about Patient 34 is suspicious. How can I not investigate?

*A Standalone HEA*

MY OPINION

A primitive man, a relentless and good woman, a prophecy about three Russian brothers born into blood and vendetta.

This couple is amazing!

I was so excited while reading their story. Ann is deeply wounded, but is resilient, strong yet vulnerable in a way that made me admire her and feel sorry for her pain. That's the trigger that moves the man she inadvertently provokes and helps at the same time. Patient 34 is the youngest of three brothers who are mercilessly being hunted by a ruthless mafia enemy. He's a wild beast, indomitable, always running, always trapped and beaten.

I relished the way the author describes the male character as if he were a beautiful wild creature created in Hell. The writing is fluid and intense, perfect for the complex characters and the intelligent plot.

I love this kind of intensely dramatic and emotional stories.  Most of the pages flew recklessly through my avid mind as I needed to know what would be happening next to the intrepid Ann and the exotic, beautiful, inspiring lost man.

There's a smart investigation going on as both characters' past collides in unexpected ways. So many things take place! I fell in love with the various settings, the different plot threads, and also with how the characters meet, how they distrust each other but cannot help wanting the soothe and the feelings they evoke in each other. Their connection, though raw and dangerous, is beautifully heartfelt and arousing.

It's also the claiming of  a mate by a feral animal, an intoxicating mixture of protective tenderness and caveman possession. Wow. The story goes through different stages, all equally powerful. Revenge, violence, life-long secrets, raging emotions and thrilling action. And above all, a love as deep as human emotion.

I even loved the quirky, sardonic evil nemesis. He was cruel, yes, but hilarious in a very interesting way. I could totally envision his own romance with a certain female character he knows very well...

This stand-alone novel is a brilliant end to a staggeringly good trilogy. Three brothers, three passionate and dark romances, three suspenseful plots that form a unique storyline. I'm impressed and very much in love with the mind behind this world.
