I promised I would read DIRTY UGLY TOY and tell you about it. Oh, my book buddies, this is intense. Dark, dark, intense, and oh so good. Please, read it. You have to if you don't want me to haunt your dreams forever... because I will!
MY OPINION
Men who take
women for their pleasure, and then have them killed. That's the ultimate dark
read. This novel has a horrible concept, but it is tremendously absorbing. It's
the story of a monster and a broken, unbreakable woman. They cross their sick
paths and strike a dubious pact, a
fortune in exchange of a human toy.
The double
POV shows brutal cruelty from the man, lost in his mind games and punitive
luxury, while the woman surprises him time and again with her attitude,
strength, vulnerability and secrets.
I was very
curious to find out if the characters would travel the road from perdition to
salvation. Though I can't disclose if that indeed happens, the story is truly
worth reading.
The swinging
from bliss to harsh darkness and vice versa completely ensnared my mind. I
could actually feel the blood pulsing in my body with the intensity of certain
scenes. of course, the craving for some kind of redemption for the characters
was always present. I enjoyed the obscene lust, yet it was masterfully interwoven
with the secrets and the taunting dialogues.
Nothing is as
it seems, though. The plot hides a few nasty surprises about why Jessica was so
destroyed when Braxton found her and chose her to be his toy. I was mesmerized
by the dual dynamics between them, tense and chaotic but also sweet and loving.
It was a hot mixture of dread and hope.
I finished
the novel with as much interest as I'd started it. Disturbing, confusing,
twisted, yes, and also intensely emotional, lustful and rewarding. Stick to the
end and you won't be disappointed.

Dirty Ugly Toy is a novel that blurs the lines of right and wrong, deals with abuse, contains dubious consent, and adult subject matter. If you are sensitive to violent sexual situations, the book may not be suitable for you. Some parts of this book are not easy to read and are not intended for everyone. However, those that keep an open mind and stick with it will not be disappointed.
