I confess to sharing Our little Secret + giveaway

Hey, book buddies :o) Ready for another wonderful week addicted to books? I know I am! Remember when I told you about HER CONFESSIONAL, part 1, by Rebecca Norinne Caudill? Today I'm going to tell you about the continuation: OUR LITTLE SECRET.

HerConfessional2Tour

MY OPINION

Stardom, secrets, seedy Hollywood politics, and unabashedly sexy romance fill up the pages of this wonderful continuation of Her Confession.

Admittedly, I felt a bit afraid for this couple-in-the-making. Gorgeous actor Cameron and smart, curvy Sarah go from long-term friendship to wild lovemaking in a meteoric short time. Theirs is a path full of challenges and fears, but I really enjoyed how awkwardly but sweetly they try to face the new reality of their relationship.

It's actually quite tough to digest the pressure of the outside world, of society's expectations or the price of fame. When love has to be kept a secret, it takes its toll. And the author does a good job of describing the exhilaration of the good parts, and the tension of the bad parts.

So I felt bad for both of them. They're struggling to make their dreams come true while staying true to their feelings for each other. I liked the way Sarah mulls over the pros and cons, sometimes giving in to insecurities, but mostly believing in what she is building with Cameron. And, of course, I loved, loved the extremely romantic, scorching hot intimacy between them. Wow.

I'm really keen on what is to happen in the next installment. It's going to be tough, yes, but worth it too, I'm sure.

Synopsis: Sarah Travers has had a really bad month. First, a drunken night of sex with her best friend – and the secret love of her life – Cameron Scott resulted in him freaking out on her and going MIA. That would have been bad enough but then her boss, a high-powered Hollywood director, cast Cameron as the lead in his new movie and put Sarah in charge of his publicity. On the bright side, it turns out she’s rather good at it - much to the chagrin of the studio’s PR team. Cameron’s back in the picture and he’s made some surprising confessions of his own, taking their relationship from the friend zone to so much more. Now Sarah and Cameron are forced to deal with how their love for one another impacts their circle of friends and what it means for his career. With pressure from the studio to keep their relationship a secret, the two must figure out how to navigate not only the stresses of any new relationship, but also one under such a strong spotlight. Our Little Secret, a 23,000-word novella, is installment two in the Her Confessional series.

Rebecca Norinne Caudill
Rebecca Caudill read her first novel when she was just four years old and has been hooked on books ever since. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Journalism, she embarked on a career in technology public relations representing some of the world’s hottest start-ups and publicly traded companies. After twelve years in the business, with the unwavering support of her husband, she quit her job to pursue writing full time. Rebecca lives in Oakland, California, with her husband and cat.
