Let's talk with Katlyn Duncan

Hi, book buddies, guess what I'm bringing to your eyes today. Cute and sweet author KATLYN DUNCAN has generously stopped by Literaria for a lovely interview.

What was the first thing that sparked THIS SUMMER?

I was reading my high school journals from when I worked at my local Parks Department. The story started to form from there.

Do you believe in second chances?

I believe in second chances but only if the first chance wasn’t something tragic or unforgivable.

(Something I can relate to, oh yeah)

What would you like readers to take away from reading your book?

I hope they are able to slip into the world of Hadley and Will and escape for a little while, enjoying the summery romance.

What's your favourite place for writing?

My newly renovated office in my home.

What would you like to see in a review?

I try not to read too many reviews but when I do I like seeing how my characters actions are interpreted through other’s eyes.

What's the best fan experience you've ever had?

I love when readers tweet to me while reading a book of mine or just after. The excitement is contagious and really amazing. 

(I love to do just that ;o) )

Besides writing, what other things do you enjoy doing?

I enjoy reading and watching numerous TV shows.

(Oh, what's your favourite? Right now I'm watching Downton Abbey and The Walking Dead. Yeah, don't ask.)

What are your writing plans for the rest of 2014?

I will be releasing a Christmas novella and starting a new paranormal series.

About the author

Katlyn Duncan was born and raised in a small town in western Massachusetts. Her overactive imagination involved invisible friends, wanting to be a Disney Princess and making up her own stories. Her bibliophile mom always encouraged her love of reading and that stayed with her since. Even though she works full time in the medical field Katlyn has always made time for books, whether she is reading or writing them.

Katlyn now lives in southern Connecticut with her husband and adorable Wheaten Terrier and she is thrilled to finally share her stories with the world.
