Get yourself HUMBUGGED this Christmas

Hi, book buddies :-) One thing I have come to crave is romcom. And this combo of writers have the art dominated. Let yourself be HUMBUGGED!

MY OPINION

Every time this duo writes a novel, I am salivating like a child for cupcakes. And those too make an appearance here, along with flirty marines, adorably inappropriate seniors, bold animals, a haunting, and a quaint town in full Christmas spirit.

It's more fun than you can manage.

I couldn't stop smiling from the heroic meet-cute to the rambunctious animal action in the most surreal epilogue ever.

The story is a mix of cozy mystery, hilarious comedy and sweet, sweet romance. The down-in-luck woman trying her second chance in life and elusive happiness and the young Marine who solves all crisis with a joyful disposition, make for a sizzling-hot couple. The seemingly impossible match happens in the midst of caroling, snack-stealing pets, baking disasters and ardent passion that flows in between laughing-out-loud dialogues. I loved the town antics with its quirky inhabitants and the couples from other books. The texting is phenomenal and the little mystery is a great connector between the plot scenes.  

I adored the family warmth coloured with so much humour, brotherly banter and friendly support. Happy Cat is one town I would love to be a part of, and in this novel it oozes Christmas charm in all kinds of seasonal events. The animals feature in really funny moments, especially the second epilogue where one of the mysteries is unearthed to my utter rolling-on-the-floor amusement. The main mystery is also solved in another surprising and fun turn of events. 

Clint and Noelle are a sweet couple. He is so honest and lovable and strong, and she is adrift and finds a real home with real friends for the first time. It's truly adorable and tender. If this is the end to this town's stories, it's a rollercoaster and perfect one, though I sincerely hope we can go back to the O'dell family and their shenanigans.

Prepare to be HITCHED

Hi, book buddies :-) One thing I have come to crave is romcom. It just makes me so happy. I recommend this book because it will just make you laugh and swoon.

MY OPINION

I can always count on this duo for a perfect rom-com. 

This couple is no exception. I was really looking forward to this story because the characters were always bickering and she has a penchant for electronics to go mashed potato around her. And she has a farm to care for animals! I could not deprive myself from enjoying this funny tale. And I loved every scene and dialogue! 

I wasn't expecting the baggage they are both carrying and how it impacts their relationship. It adds so much bittersweet meaning to how they are together. Now, Blake and Hope are married for nurturing purposes only, to save an alpaca from breeding slavery!

The fun is everywhere from his secret plans to win her over to all sorts of animals rampaging around in all their innocent, destructive glory. 

The bingo night is priceless, the conspiracy to keep the animals safe is just pure magic of wit, and the chemistry between these lovable characters is the envy of bunnies. Hot!

Hope is starving for love but dealing with trust issues. It made me want to hug her as much as live with her in that amazing animal shelter she runs. And Blake is so trustworthy and hot and good. I fell in love with him!

So a mission to believe in the future mixes with rescue animals, hilarious dialogues, and side characters that feel alive and adorable. The cute couple faces a surprising danger at the end when they have to fight in film-like style for all the things they love. I absolutely loved the insane fun and the cuteness of their actions. The epilogue is one laugh after another in the middle of neighbourly support and quirkiness. This series is the best!

You can't imagine how impatient I am for the next next story!

Hammered by love and laughs

Hi, book buddies :-) How are you doing? Ready for a new reading experience? ;-) I had one of my own while reading HAMMERED, and it was awesome! If you want to have fun, you should read this one.

I didn’t mean to kidnap the groom.

It was an accident.

Mostly...

At least I didn't take much time to plan it. It was more of a spur of the moment kidnapping. Does that count?

One minute, the town’s bad boy is standing at the altar about to marry the world’s most evil kindergarten teacher. The next, he’s passed out in my Vespa sidecar with his bride hot on our tail.

But I didn't have a choice! I couldn't stand by and watch Jace O’Dell be blackmailed into a loveless marriage. And besides, what’s a little kidnapping between friends?

And maybe I can’t quit thinking about that night at his bar when he closed up early and had me on the rocks.

MY OPINION

This book made me so helpless. Because I couldn't help myself as I laughed, hard and loud. 

It's all the animals' fault, really. The cute little hedgehog and the sneaky racoon band together with more creatures from a shelter to provide a hilarious support to his star-crossed couple of sweet lovers. 

Almost like a second-chance romance, Jace and Olivia start off with a shot at passion only to be hampered by fate and stopped in their tracks to get a happily ever after.

I missed them being together more, yet the chemistry is there right along the longing as they try to be responsible and resist the universe pulling them together. The dialogues are pure magic in the laughing department and I was happily entertained by animal crusades while Jace sorted out his messy life, Olivia explored her detective skills to help him, and a bizarre, crazy and quirky chaos exploded before they finally reached a beautifully romantic and totally unorthodox dream life.

This couple's story is unlike anything I've ever read. It's adorably loony and has the cutest little critters and the characters are all huggable. I want to live in this town and meet them all! :-D

MY OPINION

Love-a-thon with a side of laughs.

This is the kind of uplifting read we all need in our lives. Just pure fun and electrifying chemistry in a romance that makes you feel good from your toes to your fluttering heart.

The 40-something characters are larger than life, full of humour and struck with a lust that would threaten to blow up my kindle :-D

I loved how they couldn't tame their need for each other while battling frustration all around. These enemies quickly became addicted amid wild animals, savvy teens and heavy baggage. I laughed so much I forgot everything, especially with a certain sea scene and all the texts between friends. Hilarious!

And I got hot and bothered in the most delicious ways.

The writing is just so lively, witty and stimulating.

The relationship is wonderfully playful and warm, yet also charged with all the trimings that come with mature couples who've had their share of experiences in life, disappointment and kids.

I loved the big surprise that wedged itself in this couple's honeymooon stage and threw them for a loop. Lots of emotions mixed with crazy fun at the end. I felt energized with all the love and good vibes :-D
