MY OPINION
I've been
waiting for this story for a long time. Poignant, dark and hopeful, twisted and
beautiful. Tied is a story of survival, of great hope, of terrible mistakes, and
of infinite love that is won through all kinds of fire.
Holy and
Tyler suffer horrific tragedies, and they've bonded by his saving her from evil.
I was frustrated at first because it's a long while before they truly strike a
relationship and interact meaningfully. Also, I didn't like his deviant
tendencies.
However, I was very impressed with the amount of detail and insight
put into a character who's been through dismal abuse and the kind of isolation
that alters your perception of the world. The author reflect all the deep,
minute changes that a victim endures so it's hard and overwhelming to go back
to society and family. When Tyler and Holly start building on their bond, piece
by broken piece, it's a journey of trust, need, guilt and desperate love.
I
truly marvel at the words that are capable of conducting this complex, yet
rewarding love story between two damaged souls in so much need for love and
touch and recognition of their human nature.
It's hard and
painful, but also an amazing romance.
