Synopsis
Olivia Bridge has always been a good girl—good grades, good friends, and a good job that her wealthy parents handed her. Desperate to carve out a life that is truly hers, Liv walks away from it all and takes on the challenge of helping her brothers open a chain of fitness centers in New York City. Just as she’s beginning to find her footing in a new place, she’s caught between two men who couldn’t be more determined to turn all her goodness inside out.
Will Donovan has the capital to make the Bridge brothers’ entrepreneurial dreams a reality. Taking their uptight sister to bed seems a reasonable perk for the risk. Liv is the smartest, sexiest prude Will’s ever met, and he can’t wait to break her down.
Life is too short for Ian Savo to play by anyone’s rules. Sharing women with his friend isn’t anything new, so when Will introduces him to Liv, he can’t wait to get a taste. But falling for the same girl, or falling at all, was never in the plans...

MY OPINION
One
highly-educated woman. Two strong men.
Sounds
intriguing, right? I was indeed.
This is an
intense, emotional story. When I finished reading it, I was fulfilled.
Will comes
across as obnoxious and offensive at times. I didn't care much for him when he
treats Olivia so condescendingly and makes an outrageous proposition that comes
off as demeaning. at least, she showed a minimum of dignity before succumbing
to temptation. Despite his harsh attitude and domination in bed, the intimacy
between them is scorching-hot.
Then Ian, who
works at the fire department, comes into the scene. That's when the real action
begins.
Well, well,
well.
Heat levels
become critic then :-D
This double
relationship is the very passionate centre of the plot. It is intertwined with
family pressure and social expectations surround all of them, which give an extra
edge to their character development.
I liked how
important their respective families were in their lives and decision-making.
The writing style is elegant and the dialogues kept my attention because they
are driven and focused either on very deep emotional issues or drastic life
decisions.
As the story
unfolds, I started to really love Ian's tormented and sensitive nature and his
quiet strength. I loved Liv's struggle with finding herself, her link with art
and her trying to find independence from her controlling parents. Even though
Will's not my favourite, he's dealing with financial ruin on his father's part
and that was also quite interesting and insightful. Both men, fortunately, show
an impressive passion for the woman they share. Wow.
This
triangular relationship evolved with so much intensity and ardent love. It
enveloped me completely with the consequences of this unorthodox situation on
family and friends, and how life-changing it'd be for all in both good and bad
ways. I suffered with one particular blow that almost destroyed them. That turn
of events was so gripping. While I didn't like how quickly it was resolved in
the end, from one line saying it was over to the next getting back together
albeit in a very dramatic setting, I adored everything in between and the
ending, too.
The
author nurtures her characters, gives
them emotional depth and allows them to face obstacles to have them soar
afterwards, stronger and happier.
It's a beautiful,
sensual, loving story.
