These days I'm trying to go through my TBR, but I couldn't say no to this scrumptious anthology of short stories: NAUGHTY DESIRES, by Ann Mayburn. Really interesting, let me tell you ;o)
MY OPINION
I must admit
I was very curious about this assortment of fantasies, in particular the first
one as it entails a pretense scenario of an escaped convict who takes a woman
and pours all his pent-up sexual appetite free on her. The best thing about
this story is not that it's well written and playful, but that its double POV
shows a wife and a husband playing out a fantasy of hers that the agrees to
because he loves her.
Wow, that was
fun, erotic and really enlightening. Can trust lead to new possibilities in a
marriage? It was really beautiful to imagine it. The author proposes this game
as if a real couple actually tried it and it really pays off. I loved it.
With the next
story, I was thrilled with another sexy fantasy that appeals to the primitive
side of sensuality. A fake break-in at a hotel room where the girl is expecting
to be ravaged by the big, strong man she's asked for at Madame Colette's, a
place that caters to unusual desires. While reading this story, I started to
think that a service like this would indeed come in handy in real life ;-)
I felt an
intimate connection with the writing style as it showed me two characters who
complement each other in nature and needs. Jonas was a sweet brute with as many
scars as tender yet naughty skills. The passion scenes were rough enough to
spark up the heat, but sensitive and even romantic. Great story. Especially
because I also felt curious about Erica's brothers and their potential stories?
Another story
that I liked a lot starts with a lovely, enlightening warning about the wicked
pleasures of peppermint oil. It shows care from the author, and knowledge, both
of them to be grateful for.
It's a fun,
arousing scene that shows a girl with a huge crush on her two Dom bosses, and a
submissive auction that ends up in a deliciously hot ménage. I highly recommend
it. Sexy as hell.
The next
story has a theme that I'm not particularly drawn to, but I admit it is well
written and has an extremely exciting description of a couple experimenting
with some back action for him and a project for women's pleasure in the name of
science.
And the last
novella is one of my favourite with a beautiful style and a setting that's both
bold and loving. Both characters crave to fill the emptiness that their
deceased loved ones have left. They meet for a one night-stand to fulfill their
desperate need.
They find
pleasure for the body and the heart. The fact that the submissive in this
scenario is a strong football player with ebony skin adds a feverish edge to
the overall heat of the story. I really liked this one for its double POV, the
Mistress who knows how to command but is feminine and sexy, and the delicious,
fun scenes at the end. The author makes it work because the woman is always in
control but the man still retains all his glorious strength and virility.

As an
anthology, it's a perfect bunch of exquisite desires that veer to the naughty,
but always stays true to wonderful erotic romance.
