Calla, the
adventurous girl who can play pool, meets Kyan, hottest gym bag carrier in the
world. Chemistry? It works like a hot miracle. Even though that first night
they meet, they don't quench the fire, it's still pretty hot in an
uncharacteristic way.
Every scene,
one after another, was sexier and hotter than I could have imagined. I have a
good imagination, but boy, that's why I like to read. Authors just blow my
mind. And my mind was all blown to melted pieces everywhere by this couple's
interaction. Where exactly? At the gym, they're warming the air; at the photo
shoot, liquid fire and don't ever stop, please; and then that first real
workout session was... molten-hot, dirty, unbelievably gymnastic passion that
had Calla happily sore and this reader in awe.
I always fear
/ anticipate that statement from the alpha male when he swears off any
attachment with the all too sweet girl. She readily admits not wanting any
strings either, but the she can't help feeling falling for him because, let's
admit it, she's sensitive and he's too good and hot to resist. I fear it
because it scares me that he'll somehow stick to his philosophy and hurt the
lady too much. I anticipate it with glee because it'll be all the hotter and rewarding when he
really, undeniably, all consumingly falls for her. And Kyan is saying this:
Just sex, babe.
Let's see
about that!
And that's
when trouble comes into the scene and its name is Hunter.
Younger
brother. Open for anything. And unsuspecting Calla's high school big crush.
Fun is
served!
I like Kyan.
Maybe because we meet him first before his carefree brother. Or maybe because
he's been hurt, he feels deeply and he's a gentleman on a bike who gives amazing pleasure to a woman. You decide.
This man is
like a modern Samson, so strong in his acrobatic lovemaking. Just wow.
Besides being
insanely hot, the novel also takes care of feelings which I always appreciate.
It's not mindless exercise on bodily functions, it goes beyond that. Honestly,
the two brothers dynamics work really well. They know what they're doing
sharing Calla even if it's a first for them, but it's new and confusing for
her. It's exciting and entertaining from a titillating point of view, though I never
felt a connection with Hunter. To me, he's a plot twist to really heighten
things between Kyan and Calla. That's my favourite couple! And I was hoping for
them to forget fear and go all in on a true relationship.
Also, Hunter
is so carefree he's almost shallow. And he has a weird habit just before he
finishes his happiest moment (if you know what I mean) that I don't understand
and is never explained. Do I get the feeling that there will be a novel about
him in the future? I'd read it...
Oh, this novel!
It turns out to be so romantic and passionate and beautiful. I loved it when
one of the brothers makes a sacrifice to be with Calla in a very tough
situation for her, and I was also moved by her speech to someone who'd hurt her
in the past. There is a kiss in there too that made my heart ache. Lastly, I
have to say that the ending gave me a little heartache and a lot of silly-smile
satisfaction. Good work, Victoria!

Enjoying the night air, we both sit here in silence until we’re both done enjoying our food. With bellies full, Hunter pushes the garbage out of the way and lays backward, lacing his fingers behind his head.
“I’m taking it Tori still hates me from that time I hit her with my football. That was about what… seven years ago?”
I lay back beside him and laugh. “Yeah, but that’s Tori for ya. She isn’t too fond of balls that big hitting her in the face if you know what I mean. You kind of overstepped her boundaries I guess.”
“How about you?”
I lean up on my elbow. “Excuse me?” I laugh as he reaches out and pulls me on top of him.
“Have I overstepped your boundaries?” He nips my bottom lip with his teeth. “Because I can’t seem to keep my hands to myself.”
I shake my head and rub my hand over his stomach, admiring the feel of his hard body beneath my fingers. “You’re not the only one,” I admit.
His eyes look down to my breasts before he licks his lips and pulls me down to kiss him. My body instantly reacts to his touch and I find myself forgetting about everything else and just enjoying the moment for what it is.
He grips my hips and grinds into me as I sit up higher, straddling him. His erection against me instantly gets me hot and I lose all train of thought as he touches me.
“I love seeing you on top of me.” He pulls me toward him and kisses me again, gently tugging on my bottom lip before releasing it. “I want you to ride me right here in the back of my truck. I think it would be really f*cking hot; you know, to sneak around like we all had to do in high school, having sex when and wherever we could without getting caught.”
I feel a surge of excitement shoot through me at the thought, totally getting lost in his words. “That does sound really hot. Ironically things are so much hotter when there is risk involved.” I can’t help the smile that takes over my lips as he watches me move against him. I’m turning him on and I never thought that would be possible.
Before I know it, we’re both fighting to get our clothes off and Hunter is reaching for a condom and slipping it on. He never seems to waste any time getting inside me. That’s the difference between him and Kyan. Kyan never seems rushed. He’s into pleasuring me first, while Hunter’s into f*cking me hard and fast. They both have me completely satisfied and wanting more. I didn’t realize that was possible.
