I don't think
I've ever blushed so much in my life. This story got the deed done. Wow. It's
too hot for its own good!
A fateful
night she can't remember. A hard-as-brick man behind bars. An unrequited love.
Even though I
missed more dialogues between the main characters as there is little real communication,
I got hooked to the sexy and badass writing style pretty quickly. The plot is
just lava-hot. Mystery, crime, alpha-male obsessed with his innocent protegé.
A thrilling start is followed by a girl grabbing
her freedom by force. I liked that she's sadly in love with a man in jail who
doesn't want to have anything to do with her, but she's courageous enough to
break ties with a life devoid of feeling.
Carter is a
beast of a man. After 8 years in prison, from the moment he comes out his mind
is set on one thing only. You won't believe what he does! I was panting with
need, totally out of breath and my cheeks were furiously red. Poor Layla was
left trembling and shocked to the core of her sweet, innocent soul.
This story is
too hot to bear, so the fun is just starting. After that aggressive encounter,
their mutual obsession reaches explosive proportions. No matter how scary or
hard he seems, Layla can't resist him. I felt shocked too by his rude but
exhilarating behaviour towards Lalyla. In the middle of all the mystery
surrounding Layla's identity and that criminal night she can't remember, there
is a wild description of all the naughty, forceful passion Carter pours on her.
This story is downright dirty, to say the least. I wasn't able to stop reading
all of Carter's words of hard love. His tattoos are worthy of a hellish
painting and his scorching hot acts of devotion to Layla's body are forever
branded in my mind.
I enjoyed
this first part of Taking the Fall, it's dripping with explicit sexy times and has
two crazy people in love who are separated by years, secrets and misunderstandings.
I think that cliffhanger is a wonderfully naughty way to make me crave the
next part!
