I don't usually go for covers with objects or no clear view of people when it's a romance, but something about this one really appealed to me. It's enticing in some undercover way ;o)
MY OPINION OF A WEEK IN NEW YORK
This is the
kind of serial I get hooked on pretty quickly. From London to New York city, a
big step that may help Anna overcome her last disappointment in the men's
department. Just one week might prove the perfect vacation from her failures at
romance when she crosses path with an interesting man.
I don't envy
Anna her bad experiences, but I can't deny the allure of a man who treats her
to such nightly delights. In the first chapters, I enjoyed how she tries to
elude his interest but then dares a one-night stand to forget bad things that
seem to pursue her. It was pretty ironic that she makes up a few unmovable
rules to share a night of passion with a man who lives by a bunch of rules
himself.
Ah, the
steamy scenes are quite entertaining. The best, of course, is that they don't
end after one time. Or two. Or three...
Soon, small
moments of emotional intimacy start sprouting up between them. They're not
looking for them, they don't even want them, but they can't resist their sweet,
soft, warm pull. I loved it all.
The pain of
their inevitable separation was my pain too. It was so romantic and full of
longing. Now I'm really hooked and I'd love to read the next episode, Autumn in
London. Sounds so good!
A sexy, romantic fiction novella series
Installment #1
Release: October 21, 2014
Each novella is around 30k words
Anna Kirby is sick of dating.
She's tired of heartbreak. Despite being smart, sexy, and funny, she's a magnet
for men who don't deserve her.
A week's vacation in New York is
the ultimate distraction from her most recent break-up, as well as a great
place to meet a stranger and have some summer fun. But to protect her
still-bruised heart, fun comes with rules. There will be no sharing stories, no
swapping numbers, and no real names. Just one night of uncomplicated fun.
Super-successful serial seducer
Ethan Scott has some rules of his own. He doesn't date, he doesn't stay the
night, and he doesn't make any promises.
It should be a match made in heaven.
But rules are made to be broken.
A Week in New York is the first in a series of three
novellas.
About the Author
I write sexy, romantic, contemporary
novels - the kind I like to read! Ruined by romantic mini-series of
the seventies and eighties, I love all things romantic. There's not enough of
it in real life so I'll settle for books and films.
I love the rain, the West Wing,
London, days when you don't have to wear make-up, being alone, being with
friends, elephants and champagne.
Do you like serials as much as I do? :o)
