Hi, book buddies. At this moment, I must be deep in duty while my blog works for me and lets my book fantasies run wild. I'll try to be positive, but it's hard to go back to routine. I miss my holidays! Anyway, today I'd like to share with you my opinion of DANTE'S FIRE, a very nice romance by Jennifer Probst.
This is every
woman's fantasy. Believe me. Can you imagine the horror of being assaulted at
night by two violent men? And how wonderfully righteous and rewarding it'd be
to have a superhero to save you just in time, to kick and brand the evil guys,
and then heal you back to your happy self through trust, affection and
tenderness?
Amazing.
I loved this
story...
- Reason 1: a
strong characterization, both main characters have a distinct personality, with
dreams and fears and pasts that made me relate and understand them.
Selina has
made herself, she's good and independent. Dante has sacrificed his chance for
companionship in the name of something superior, he helps wronged women and
punishes evil doers.
- Reason 2:
superpowers that fire-brand criminals and champion women. How literally hot is
that? Oh, so much!
- Reason 3:
solid, arousing writing style.
- Reason 4: a
masked man, a tortured solitary hero with two identities.
- Reason 5: a
masked man, guys, I have to say it again. It's utterly romantic and
adventurous.
- Reason 6:
beautiful love story.
After
surviving a horrid rape attempt, her savior visits Selina at night to soothe
her fears, to help her regain sanity and trust. I don't envy Selina, but I do
miss having that kind of sweet treatment. Those precious moments together were
soulful and intensely romantic.
There's also
room for action, tension, and a delicious promise of more stories to come about
this dark hero and his world.
Favourite moments:
first appearance of hero - awesome!the puppy's story - so endearing.
