Fake It: a biker romance review + giveaway

A biker and a good girl? What's not to like? ;o)

I love a good ruse to get a couple together before the established schedule of a relationship. When that boundary is crossed, the encounters become so much more fun and exhilarating!

About FAKE IT:

As her sizzling new series continues, Jennifer Chance sparks some serious combustion between a sexy biker and a corporate go-getter who’s ready to let her hair down.
New grad Anna Richardson works hard—so hard that she’s given up having a romantic life. Anna has even convinced her friends that she’s dating an amazing guy—who they’ve simply never met. But now Anna has a wedding to attend and needs to produce the hottie she’s been lying about for the past six months. Enter Jake Flynn, her infuriating, motorcycle-riding, jaw-droppingly gorgeous neighbor, who’s more than willing to fake it for a weekend. In fact, Jake won’t be satisfied until things get real.
Though Jake is only playing the role of adoring boyfriend, he’s starting to feel the heat, and judging by Anna’s sweet blush, so is she. Letting chemistry this intense go to waste would be a real shame. Soon, though, the thin line between fantasy and reality fades. Jake may not be what every buttoned-up fast-tracker wants, but he’s sure as hell what Anna needs. And if she takes a ride with him, their adventure never has to end.

Anna is a successful woman who finds herself invited to a wedding where she will face the ex who dumped her. Following a last minute plan, she embarks on a kamikaze mission to find the right guy to stand in for a fake boyfriend. She’s been fantasizing with this imaginary perfect guy for everybody’s sake when hot biker Jake accidentally invites himself to do the deed.

I don’t know why she fights the idea so much. Maybe because she’s so into him she’s afraid she won’t have any control over her emotions. The good thing is that Jake is very determined to do just that. He’s going to prove to her that fake can turn into real in a nanosecond of heat and lust.

Both characters are very attractive. They have their quirks, Anna talks too much, Jake might have a short temper that estranged him from his family in his youth, but they're still nice and appealing to me.

Two favourite things:

-Anna has been constricted by her responsibilities. She's a workaholic and doesn't know how to free herself from what her friends think of her love life. Now, however, she's finding a new self in doing unexpected things, in being with someone unexpected.

-Sensuality off the charts: every moment of anticipation and intimacy between Anna and Jake is just spellbinding. I relished every second!

Anna and Jake connect so well. Not only physically, but they listen to each other in a way filled with honesty, attraction and understanding. I loved their easy interactions, how perfect they were for each other in a warm and playful way. And the chemistry was over the roof and right into my blood. Gorgeous!

Cute things to point out:

- the wedding is a beautiful setting for this passionate romance. It's a long weekend full of events that provide the perfect frame for sweet, sexy, and meaningful scenes

- the conversations feel so real, so infused with honesty and personality. I really felt like I was living through these two people

- the author seems to be quite at ease with bikes, letting on what would be comfortable or not around them, or how it feels to be on the road on top of one

Not everything important happens at the wedding. Jake is responsible for a big twist in the plot that puts their personalities to the test and sky-rocket their relationship.

A beautiful story about unexpected love, taking chances in life, and reimagining our destiny as we find ourselves in it. Great!
