MY OPINION

I love my men deep and my romance scorching-hot. Bingo on both counts with Love Deep. We're back to Star Falls and I couldn't be happier! It's the perfect way to visit this idyllic place with wild scenery and down-to-earth people where you can eat great wings and comforting pastries. 

Our man of the book is Fisher. He is handsome and easy-going, yet he harbours some issues with trust that are going to be put to the test thanks to Juniper (cute name). She's a woman of layers and an artist too! I really enjoyed their chemistry. I love it when the main characters swear up and down that they're only having a short-term fling, but you and I, buddy, know the truth. This intense relationship is going to change their lives forever in an epic way, and it's so exciting! 

Speaking of exciting. That scene in the lake. Watch out for it. You're welcome :-)

Music and art intertwine along with feelings and desire as they get to know each other in all ways. Allllll ways. Hot combination ahead. So music and art are their passions which strengthens both the plot and the relationship. I found it very interesting to delve into his trade as a music producer. 

On the other hand, Juniper's love for painting and dealing with imposter syndrome was very relatable. It all flows in a very natural and engaging way. It was intensely gratifying to see how both Fisher and Juniper faced all the challenges in their lives and in their relationship, and the child's character was fabulous.

I think this story is truly significant. Not only the romance, but the characters' take on life is all about believing in dreams, spreading one's wings and loving with an open heart. 

Reading this book made me happy, and it made me laugh too. A deep experience indeed.

MY OPINION

If I say dark captive romance, does it capture your attention? Because it surely captured mine! 

I had to read this book as soon as I found out that it’s got a conspiracy surrounding the disappearance of a woman and the frenzied and determined search of her friend to find her. She faces the maddening enemies of indifference from the system and conspirators in the dark recesses of power and anonymity. I was hooked.

This story is entrenched in enigmas and mind games. I felt sucked in by the injustice of a woman just disappearing and nobody caring about it. I was as frustrated and eager as Romy to get to the bottom of it, to save her, to punish the culprits. But oh, this goes down the rabbit hole into a fathomless pit of mind-boggling, reality-twisting mystery. What is going on? Are the Crowne men lying like devils or Romy's mind utterly deluded? The doubt, the uncertainty of it all, was frying my nerves and gluing me to page after page. 

Romy is a strong character thrown into a world steeped in luxury and hair-rising depravity. I liked it when she was solving puzzles and defying adversaries, not so much when she was a victim to her circumstances. That's because I felt  as much a victim as she was, and every victim around her, that it made me itchy and uncomfortable. Some scenes are brutal and disgusting. It was hard to read them. However, the mysterious plot was so engaging that it really kept me going. The last chapter is both nefarious and a hook to jump onto the next book. What a crazy read!

HERE IS MY OPINION :-)

A professor and a student with such chemistry that is everyone's naughty fantasy.

After book 1, of which I was in awe, I was eager to read this continuation. I needed answers! To the love affair, to the secret society, to students suffering in the hands of enigmatic forces, to Shakespearian undercurrents that move us all.

William Stratford and Anne Hill dance between provocation and longing in very alluring ways in this book. Academia is as decadent as the sensuality in it. I can't deny my utter devotion to the atmospheric, thought-provoking literature classes. Really, I was completely immersed in those.

Interesting trains of thoughts about literature and psychological trauma abound. There are some uncomfortable moments as the plot plunges Anne down the rabbit hole, plenty of taboo and healing too. Despite the harshness of some events, the author manages to put beauty in everything. That's the quality seal I love about her writing. 

I enjoyed the moments of female friendship and sorority, found entertainment in the dark humanity. The intimacy between the main characters is top-notch. When the explosive final events sweep through the last chapters, it felt as thrilling as the journey there had been compelling. Now, I can only imagine what the third book will bring to the study table.  A+.

Mesmerising, erotic, lyrical.

I wasn't sure what I would find beyond the thrill of a forbidden story between a professor and his young student. This goes way beyond my wanton expectations.

It's beautifully written. It's arousing. It's also magnificent.

The first chapters had me in the grasp of hypnosis. I was engrossed in that twisted yet poetic first encounter between the prey and the predator. Red-hot fantasy encased in moving feelings, tantalizing discovery and unstoppable lust. Perfect.

The story, however, goes deeper. It tackles Shakespeare, roots that are impossible to outrun, a connection that defies society and the always alluring setting of Tanglewood. 

To my surprise, the story packs layer upon layer of little plot twists that pile up to change assumptions, complicate things and obliterate everything the reader believed about survivor Anne, her fascinating friend Daisy (I crave her story), that deviously hot professor and the enigmatic Tanglewood University. Brace yourself for a rollercoaster of clever mystery and dark secrets. To say that I must read the next book is an understatement.
