Hi, book buddies :-) I've been reading a new mystery book by Jacqueline Wingspear lately, but today I'm here to tell you about a romance book by the iconic and ridiculously unexpected Whitney G. This is her new book and it is hot and hilarious.

MY OPINION
Forbidden romance is temptation enough. Make it between a student and a teacher who are both into literature and consumed by volatile feelings and passion, and you have first-class entertainment right at your fingertips.
The characters are caught between tearing each other apart and kissing each other to pieces. It's that stormy. I think this angry romance has good points. For starters, the meet-cute is laden with rebellion, rule-breaking atmosphere, literature, connection and hot promises. From the moment the characters realise who they are to each other in terms of school hierarchy, it explodes into a festival of snark, dangerous flirting, dreams of academic excellence and the occasional boundary-breaking of erotic fun.
Sometimes I felt taken aback by how harsh Liam can be to Genevieve, but that is typical in all male characters in this author's books. Men are dreamily handsome but a nightmare when they get angry. However, she is strong-headed, brave and never relents. I really enjoyed all the talk about essays and literature.
All the time, I feared they would be caught, even though many scenes are surreal and funny. I wanted them to finally be free to indulge in their no-rein desire. Oh, my, the ups and downs this couple goes through, though. I was dizzy by the time drama hits its highest point and I admit I was not expecting exactly how it all happened. We got some clues, but no, romantic me was not anticipating the devious mind twist the author had devised. I was distraught to say the least.
And the last part of the story is another rollercoaster which brings about interesting scenarios... and a hint at what else is coming in the future. Loved all the craziness and the hotness!
