Literaria: One Man is more than enough

Hi, book buddies :-) And... I'm back! :-D You have to know by now that I am a huge fan of Lisa Renee Jones, so I had to share her new release. It's a new trilogy! I couldn't be any happier.

MY OPINION

So mysterious! I was drawn to the secretive and slightly threatening atmosphere of this novel, the first in a trilogy that promises to be mind-grabbing.

Like Romeo and Juliet, the main characters are in the middle of a feud between two powerful families with piling secrets.

I love a man with a hidden agenda that conflicts with his feelings for the woman he's supposed, to despise. And I love a woman torn by her emotions but strong enough to brave the storm raging around her.

Jax and Emma are those people.

It seems that he's on a steep path to revenge. I felt so compelled to know his motives, his pain. That's something that actually bonds him with Emma, a she's grieving for her father who had more skeletons in his closet than a mafia boss. How intriguing!

While this star-crossed lovers engage in an intense and deeply sensual affair, the circumstances that surround his family's tragedy and her family's involvement keep getting darker and more enigmatic.

I really enjoyed the smystery that slowly unravels into perplexing associations between their brothers, and the scorching-hot intimacy they have. I'm very keen on the plot, and also very teased due to that sharp cliffhanger with such a Jane Eyre's touch to it ;-)

He steps aside and motions me toward the back doors, a silent invitation to enter or walk away, to make my own decision. I climb inside, letting the soft leather absorb my body, a willing victim, as he’d wanted.
