 WICKED TRUTHS

by Jodi Ellen Malpas

MY OPINION

Have your wicked way with me, Mr Hunt. I'm all yours.

Art conspiracies blend sinfully well with hot romance in this conclusion of a duet that's brimming with sensual scenes and secretive vengeance.

This stormy couple declares their love for each other in epic, scorching-hot ways. I was worried how the cliffhanger from book 1 would pan out, but the reconciliation takes place with all the melodramatic glory it deserved. And now we can indulge in going back to The Haven, where art dealings mix with kinky sessions of passion and gutting confessions about loss and need. These characters positively combust. I was especially fond of a scene that combines public scandal, really astounding and elastic sensuality, and a romantic surprise.

I was enthralled with discovering more about Hunt's enemies, his business, and all the mysteries surrounding pieces of art. Status quo reaches a heart-pounding crescendo when revenge and love strike a teetering balance. I was quite hooked on whether Hunt would risk all or Eleanor  would join the mission. So exciting! It's a naughty yet high-stake relationship between these two. I felt I could relate to her dual feelings about wanting to keep her lover safe but also her curiosity about the art mystery that plagues his family. The last third of the book is a spinning wheel of dirty secrets spilling everywhere and hidden truths put to the test.

With a frantic pace, fun and boldness combine to create a Bonnie and Clyde ending infused with a good dose of naughty Indiana Jones. Scandalously entertaining. Would make for a good film, too :-D
