When hungry, DONUT DISTURB

Hi, book buddies :-) Food and books mix well, don't you think? So what about donuts and romance? Peek ahead!

DONUT DISTURB by Melissa Williams
Release Date: October, 2nd

MY OPINION

A sweet treat for our romantic cravings. I laughed and smiled with this cute romcom. And craved doughnuts like a starved cop.

This story features a frantic baker and a hot neighbour with a weakness for her doughnuts. They might clash over the last packet of bacon and some painful early morning shenanigans, but soon a wonderfully exhilarating chemistry pops up between them.

The writing style is lively, really funny, and pictures both characters as they connect in very entertaining scenes. I really ate it all up in no time. It was delicious!

Cassidy is devoted to her bakery and has trust issues, so some hilarious self-denial takes place as she fights her overwhelming attraction to the impossibly tempting neighbour. He comes loaded with muscles, a charming smile, a tough job, and brothers who are also worthy of a second look.

This lovely couple goes from enemies to lovers in lots of sweet moments shared over recipes of doughnuts, mounting trust and a slow-burn passion that really explodes at the right time. And oh the surprising turn it takes towards the end is very empowering, heroic and heart-pounding. I loved everything about this book, so I am convinced that I will be waiting for the next book from this author with anticipation.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

A STANDALONE romantic comedy from author Melissa Williams. A hot cop and a donut baker, what could go wrong?

It was a donut emergency. A dough or die moment.

At least, that’s what I’m telling myself. It would explain why, from the moment Baxter DeCavhalo comes crashing into my kitchen, I’ve been acting out of character.

Why I’m sharing secret donut recipes, licking frosting off fingers that aren’t mine, and falling for the off-limits neighbor. I know better, I need to be focusing on my bakery and my next donut creation…but there’s just something about Bax that keeps me coming back for more.

It’s not the heat of the kitchen that’s getting to me, it’s Bax. And this slow burn is about to combust.
