I'm always happy to read one of this author's romances. Hilariously surreal, this story mixes past and present in an engaging way. You never know exactly what happened that pushed this couple apart and the intrigue is maddening. The dialogues just burst from the pages in addictive banter and provocative verbal foreplay.

I definitely liked how they pushed each other's buttons while there's so much attraction simmering beneath the surface. On the other hand, there's this other character who moves things along, but is absolutely crazy and I had a blast with her.

Luxury beyond belief, two souls who long for each other but seem to harbour a hate to death, and a secret that tore them apart. I kept wondering what could have happened because the scenes from the past unravelled slowly and the scenes in the present proposed a different scenario drowning in sarcasm and trouble. Very entertaining all along.

So, when all the grudges and poking reach a bomb-level, these characters have the hottest love fest ever. Do they stop their bantering? No way :-D There are secrets to be unveiled, people!

I'm not sure I loved the reason why they split up, but it makes for a lot of drama, that's for sure. And for a minute there I despaired that this couple would ever make it to happily-ever-after land because she's the queen of escapes and he is the king of alpha males. In the meantime, I got lots of laughs and heat, so maybe I shouldn't complain? :-D

Also, I can't pretend to deny that I didn't love the ending. It's great, as much as Penelope's character showing up like this from the other novel in the series.
