Hi, book buddies ☺ It is so exciting to read the next book in a series this amazing! Skye Warren has done it again in this stunning story.

MY OPINION

This is 100% amazing! I devoured this book like a decadent feast after a hunger strike. 

Holly and Elijah burn with an unholy, dramatic love in this second book of a dark, thrilling, complex romance in three acts. A good woman with twisted desires meets a larger-than-life, tormented villain who fights against his own depravity. And the clash of lust, need and love teems with shocking scenes of passion, greed, possessiveness and danger.

The narrative may seem simple, but it carries a power that ensnares and haunts. I was completely captivated by the dyanmics between all the characters. Big brother Liam, sneaky Adam whose story I need asap, sisterly bonds, the heavy burden of guilt and denied freedom, the gutting sense of one's evil.

I loved that I got to know Elijah's inner conflict better as well as his enemies, and Holly is stunning here as she stands fierce yet real in regards to her man, his demons, her own power and her future. The story about the mermaid is as fascinating as the one about the tooth fairy in the previous book. Isn't it uniquely marvellous that she is weaving stories inside the one she's living? 

The passion is overwhelming in this book, really harsh and line-crossing and utterly unforgettable. And the sacrifices they make for love are only rivalled by the selfish desire to keep what they want. The ending is just explosive! And the plot twists! 

Crude and dangerous and epic. Silver Lining better be ready soon or it will be my demise :-D
