Enjoy his SAVAGE BURN

Hi, book buddies :-) Savage is back! Oh, my, he is fighting for his woman and it is so brutally romantic. 😉


MY OPINION

Savage returns with a vengeance in this second book of the suspense trilogy. He has a dirty mind and a wicked tongue that he puts to tremendous use. I couldn't have enough of his twisted words and brutal sense of humour. Exactly as I like him!

He and Candace clear up a few things, battling for an elusive trust that's burdened with a lost past yet craves oxygen to burn with the life of their passion. Oh, my, that man can go from zero to 100 like a Ferrari :-D

I was also keenly engaged in the dangers that they, along with some Walker Security men, unearth about seriously dark and murderous connections between military and political powers.

I liked a scene where Candace is honing her defensive skills. It's got warrior oand hot vibes, especially because Savage is so on board with her being so proactive. It is hilarious too because it ends with a ridiculously funny element. Loved it.

Moreover, I loved that they're working shoulder to shoulder in the plans and course of action to follow against their enemies. Those started to turn increasingly frightening. Yet these two fall deeper in love with each other as they become stronger to face all evils. 

Savage is quite the committed romantic despite his fierce nature. Swoon! And she is pushy to get in the melee, but it's because threats are surrounding her like hounds. All the Walker men shine here in a community way, love that. However, let me warn you. Cliffhanger from hell! That was killer 😂 Can't wait for the finale!!

“I stayed away for a reason. I knew if I ever touched you again, I’d want all of you. I’d want to own you and I wouldn’t give a shit about the price. So, yes, I’m going to spank you.” 
“You think me submitting during sex means you own me?” she challenges. 
“One night at a time, baby.”
“One night at a time, until you ruin me?”
“And then some,” I assure her. “There’s no saving you now.” Just to be sure she’s clear on that fact, I scoop her up and start walking. 
She doesn’t object. She holds onto me. I want to believe she’ll hold on forever, but I’m not sure we’re there yet. Who am I kidding? I know we’re not fucking there yet, which is why we’re not doing this in the kitchen. This isn’t about sex. It’s about us, it’s about our relationship, our connection, the intimacy we have shared, the past come back to life. That means our bedroom. 
The place we started and ended days together. The place we talked for hours. The place where we did naughty, kinky things to each other. Okay, I did naughty, kinky things to her more than she did to me. But it was here where the most intense moments were shared.
