Enticing and well crafted. What starts as a night club naughty adventure, grows into a suspenseful, royal dark romance.
I enjoyed it thoroughly. The strong writing style highlights the characters' dilemmas as well as the powerful pull of their passion for each other.
This is a novella that precedes the next novel, The Rebel Queen, though I am happy to say it doesn’t lack depth, plot or steamy intimacy.
Among the dangerously edged characters stands out one man, Henry, Crown Prince of Androvia. Dominant, imminent heir to a besieged throne, a gentleman with a British accent to melt over. The heroine is an independent woman who craves the freedom of submitting in bed, but faces terrible betrayals and trials in her seemingly pampered life. I really liked the dynamics between them because they don’t act as if love were in their agendas. They desire each other with a force to be reckoned with, but royal politics and dark manipulation lead their paths in interconnecting bonds.
Other interesting characters seemed to have a story of their own that wasn’t too clear, maybe from other books?
I believe Everly and Henry have many challenges ahead of them. Dangers and a bold proposal that could make them or break them pave the way into the next installment, which I am more than ready to read :-D
