Finally!
Yes, my book buddies, in case you were wondering... I've cried buckets of tears over this book. At the end of this post, you have a giveaway and my aching opinion.
The Empty Jar
Three months touring Europe.
Romantic. Dazzling. Unforgettable.
The trip of a lifetime. But some lifetimes are shorter…We couldn’t have known it would work out this way. No one could. No one could’ve guessed that something so beautiful could be so tragic. But it is tragic.Yet so, so beautiful. That’s what sacrifice is—beauty and tragedy. It’s pain and suffering for something or someone you love. And this is the ultimate sacrifice. One stunning act of true love. This is our story. Our true love story.
THE EMPTY JAR IS LIVE! And what better way to celebrate Mother’s Day than with a book like this, a poignant tale about the power of love. This is what readers are saying about the new story from M. Leighton:
“The ultimate love story.”
“It is a masterpiece.”
“Heartbreaking. Hopeful. Brilliant.”
“Hands down the best book I have ever read.”
“If I could only tell you to read one book this year, it would be this book.”
“After today, life as I know it will be ‘AEJ’, after The Empty Jar. I will not be the same.”

A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
This book is not a romantic fairy tale. Yet, it’s the most romantic story I’ve ever told. It’s a journey of pain and loss, of hope and happiness. It’s both achingly tragic and exquisitely beautiful. It’s a love story. A true love story about real love. The kind that sees you through the night and holds you when you cry. The kind that won't give up and never lets go. The kind we all dream about and few find. But it’s real. I promise you, it’s real. I’ve seen this kind of love, and I've seen this kind of heartbreak. I got to see it up close and personal, and quite honestly, I will never be the same. I hope it changes you as much as it changed me.

MY OPINION
A beautiful tribute to the hardships of love.
This is a tour de force of the heart. I’ve been
literally crying through ninety percent of the story. It’s made of feelings!
Big, true, solid, outpouring, poignant feelings.
I must confess that I felt like giving up plenty of
times. Too much sadness and unfairness. Yet I couldn’t give up. I couldn’t do
that to this story or the spirit that inspired it. I guess I’m too sensitive to
these issues and that’s why my reaction was so visceral. It was bound to touch
me deeply. It scares me. And every page in The Empty Jar was filled with the
real touch of love, of family, of terrible loss, and true understanding of the
meaning of all those things.
I had to stop reading frequently to breathe. Every
time, I convinced myself that I’d come back stronger, capable of withstanding
the overwhelming emotion, capable of withholding the waterworks. Well… no. I
wasn’t strong enough. Every time the tears would just start again.
I’m not really the kind of person who reads tragic
love. I did it this time only because I know where it all comes from, what’s
behind this author’s journey that she had to pour it in the most beautiful,
heartbreaking words I’ve ever read.
I want to say that it was worth every tear because of
the quality of the writing and the depth of the story. Nat and Lena’s love is
the most courageous, beautiful treasure. I don’t know how I survived till the
end, but I finished with a quivering heart, and amazed.
Be warned: this is not an easy thing to read. Be
strong because you’ll need to be, but at least TRY like I did. This is not
read. This is experienced with all your body and soul.
